Having turned up late for our stay in one of the onsite rooms for a night, we sadly missed dinner service but made the most of the breakfast which was delicious and plentiful. The staff were amazing especially the girl with the awesome tattoos.Next time we’ll definitely make the most of their dinner menu.Highly recommend.

Stopped here for just one night as a Britstop. Lovely views from parking space. Super evening meal, and you can get breakfast in the morning. Worth checking out fellow Britstoppers!

Unfortunately had a pretty unsettling experience here. I normally don’t write reviews but in this case I had to.We were staying on site (rooms was great btw) but waited over an hour and a half for food with my family. Mind you, when we sat down, we were seated with only one other table there.Had enough time to run to Tesco and back so I could at least feed my children after it was apparent they either forgot our food or couldn’t serve us in anything close to a reasonable time.Food was ok once we got it but we received little remorse from the sever once it was received. To compound the issue, when I spoke to the manager, she essentially supplanted the blame for the food being late for me coming to eat there…even when I placed a reservation and came in early when only one other table was there. While it did get busy and they were short handed, especially for a Saturday, the insanity of this staffer who was filling in for the manager to blame me and then refuse me and my family service for a breakfast the next morning that I had pre-paid for BEFORE refunding me my money was border line criminal.I returned the next morning for my breakfast refund and was given cash since they didn’t have the ability to refund my card on the spot. The manager at that time was helpful but the damage was already done unfortunately and nothing further was done for us to have made the occurrence less unpleasant.Maybe this was a one off incident but nonetheless, a horrible experience overall.Bottom line, I’d suggest bringing your own food and cooking in your wonderful room, because the service staff blaming you for eating there and causing a kerfuffle, is beyond mind blowing. While good help is hard to find, it was no more evident that this staff did not value repeat customers or their referrals to others they know.Again, true shame, but if I were anywhere else, I would have been refunded my meals for such a miscarriage of service.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Lovely staff, fresh and clean, with a lovely bright appearance, and affordable. They were really good to me and my family (table of 12!) Even though we were a walk in crowd. The food was excellent, my oldest son is still raving about how good it was. ?I would definitely give them 6 stars if I could.Kid-friendliness: They were amazing with all the children, who were a bit cranky before the food came out, and they were really sweet with my cousins' baby.

Mum and I were staying locally and having passed the entrance to Hills Barn several times we were intrigued to try the restaurant. We had checked the menu via Google maps and the prices looked very competitive, lasagna £14, we were tempted. On arrival the restaurant was empty, but we were made very welcome. The restaurant looks lovely and the food was absolutely delicious. The lasagne was perfect, rich and flavourful as were the chips and garlic bread. The surprising accompaniment to the side-salad was two generous slice of watermelon, but that too was perfect. Sadly we were so full we did not have room to sample any desserts, but we would definitely return if we are back in the area. Definitely recommend.

Now known as Hills Farm EstateThank you! We were the only people in here, at 3.30, but they bent over backwards to help, firing up the fryers just for us, myself and my better, wiser, other half had burgers and my mother in law had the Lasagna. The nicest touch was finishing off with the Water MelonVery highly recommend, a total Hidden GemWheelchair accessibility: A bit stony but not difficult

This place could not be found, no signs for the Butchers Block only signs for Cranberries. Shame because I ended up on Costa and was very disappointed.
