The gentleman at the bar who was very well dressed and polite to the lovely lady that was serving food smiles all round nice quite warm atmosphere. Really enjoyed our visit

The Hill, Kilmington, AxminsterA group of 9 of us rocked up on Saturday night, fairly near the end of service, looking for food and a drinks after a long day.
Very happy with the quality of food, price, selection of drinks and service and general atmosphere - it was just us and a few locals propping up the bar when we left.
Would very happily go back :)

Burrow Knap Way, AxminsterBest beef ever (and that might not have been as good as the ridiculously moist venison kofts canapes).
We'd been so looking forward to this evening in the wood - I think my expectations had even become a little unrealistic - but High Grange delivered, and some. Or should that be and yum?
Beautiful setting, lovely casual vibe, gorgeous plates, staff who knew exactly how to make you feel like you were eating round at a mates house. Simple world class. In a wood in Devon!
We'll be back.
And did I mention the beef? Ex-dairy cow cooked asado (Argentinian cooking). Just wow.

Belluno Italian Axminster
West St, AxminsterHad a fantastic experience here this evening! Food was 10/10, service was fast, highly recommend the fettuccine alla bolognese! It was really reasonably priced with the Monday deal which was about £11.95 per main. One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to and I've been to Italy! I will say that parking wasn't the easiest to find unless you go to a paid car park but we did find on street parking that was free after 6pm so bare that in mind if you are driving!

10 South St, AxminsterOrdered a takeaway from here, as I’m a lorry driver and I was parked nearby. Genuinely the best Indian I have ever had.
Considering travelling heading down from Gloucester in my own time to eat again.
10/10.
Also my just eat delivery driver was the nicest guy on earth.

The Community Waffle House
First Floor, Trinity House, Trinity Square, AxminsterReally enjoyed my visit to The community waffle house. I had the soulful waffle and iced strawberry matcha, and both were excellent.
The soulful was a great savoury choice - well balanced and the flavours worked really well together.
The strawberry matcha was not too sweet. It was a nice pairing with the waffle and made the whole visit feel a little more special.
The cafe has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and feels like a proper community spot.
If you are in Axmister and want something tasty with a bit of personality, this is definitely worth a visit.

Kit & Kee Catering
Great Trill Farm, Pudleylake Rd, Musbury, AxminsterKit & Kee catered our wedding weekend in July, handling our Friday night dinner, Saturday reception, and Sunday brunch. The entire planning process was seamless. They were incredibly patient and flexible, and nothing was too much trouble. They offered creative ideas, were happy to make menu changes, and provided excellent recommendations for crockery, cutlery, kitchen equipment and glassware hire.
Our guests are still raving that it was the best wedding food they've ever eaten. Kit & Kee is so much more than a typical caterer. The presentation is stunning, the flavours are sublime, and their commitment to quality is evident in every detail, from sourcing ingredients to the final plating. We felt incredibly lucky to have them as part of our special day and can't wait to eat their food again.

The Castle, Castle Hill, AxminsterWe received a very friendly welcome when we arrived for lunch. The landlord even opened up one of his outbuildings for us to park our bikes safely. They specialise in guest ales and home cooked food - and neither disappointed. We’ll be back!

Gammons Hill, Kilmington, AxminsterIf you can imagine a rustic pub, this is exactly that. the food was perfectly seasoned and tasted amazing, very reasonably priced drinks and the people there are so kind, from the customers to the family that runs the pub, they’re the kind of people you can have a nice conversation and a good laugh with. I would honestly recommend if you are driving through Kilmington and you need a stop off for a break or you’re visiting the place for the day. I’m telling you, stop off here. You will not regret it

Unit 3 Samurai Buildings, Seaton Junction, AxminsterI went to the coffee cupping experience and really enjoyed it. Tried 8 different coffees and given a choice of one to take home included in the price. Dan was great. Well informed and modest so didn’t make anyone feel out of place. \nCoffee was high quality and lovely and the company is working hard to ensure the beans are ethically sourced and packaged. A great place to pick up a take away coffee and some pretty amazing looking cake! \nAnd an added bonus of the Lyme bay winery opposite.

We love Sandy, she is friendly and funny, loves the dogs and is a wealth of local information ?

Parking: Situated in the town square where there is free parking gor up yo 2 hours apart from Thursdays which is market day !

1 Silver St, AxminsterWhat a joy to find a pub with such well cared for real ales. I wasn't feeling too great, so couldn't have as many as I would have liked. The IPA and 200 (both from Palmers) were top notch. I should add that the staff and atmosphere equal the quality of the beer. I am tempted to move to Axminster to have this as my local!

Lucky House Chinese Takeaway
Lyme Street, AxminsterWe had a great experience with Lucky House in Axminster. We collected our order and everything was hot, fresh and really tasty, with good portion sizes too. The chicken curry was full of flavour and the crispy chilli beef was spot on — crispy, saucy and not greasy. Everything else we ordered was just as enjoyable.
We’ve tried the other Chinese in Axminster and, in my opinion, it’s overpriced for what you get and the food doesn’t compare. Lucky House is much better value and the quality is far superior. Well priced, satisfying food and definitely our new go-to Chinese. Would happily recommend.

The Old weighbridge Building, Woodmead Rd, AxminsterWe came here whilst on holiday not expecting much. Well, it was the best lamb bhuna I’ve ever had! The lamb melted in the mouth. Everything we ordered was clearly home made, fresh and using good ingredients. Very glad we came.

Park Farm, Trinity Hill Rd, AxminsterMy first wedding at River Cottage and I truly hope it’s not my last. Lucy and her staff were simply the best wedding team I have worked with. Everyone was happy to be there even working under pressure. The chefs were involved not locked away, they invited guests to come and see what was happening in service, such a refreshing change.The outdoor ceremony in the cottage garden is amazing and unique.Keep an eye out for the setting sun in the meadow, simply one of the best wedding venues around.

There always very busy but they are pretty efficient so won't keep you waiting long.Parking: If you're lucky there is parking right outside otherwise you just might have to park further on down.

It wasn't an issue, but would have been nice to know we would be charged for take away pots when we had leftovers
