“Arrived and picked a table as pretty much first in at 1800. Sat in the Glasshouse which is nice and light, possibly too warm on a hot and sunny day which this week has been the opposite of! Service good from all the staff, food arrived promptly but in now way hurriedly. Starters of chicken liver parfait, scallops, mains of muscles, venison steak, beef burger and chicken burger, all great. So many muscles that my wife could not finish and that’s unheard of. Deserts of ice creams, vanilla crème brûlée and a chocolate brownie. Best crème brûlée I think I’ve had in ages. £159 including 2x Prosecco, 2x mocktails and a Coke. Or bad at all. Certainly good for an anniversary dinner (with children in tow).”

“We came for a meal and didn't stay. There were six of us for Sunday lunch, they offer a traditional roast, with either beef, lamb or chicken, they also offer a nut roast which my wife said was delicious. I had a mixed meat roast. All the ingredients were really good quality and the food was cooked to perfection. Although, it was busy, the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely well worth a visit.”
