Staff very friendly, a warm welcome into a packed pub, always a good sign. Good variety of drinks, 3 Exmoor ales on, an expensive menu, sometimes this can put me off but the food here is superb. We had ribeye and lamb curry. Both excellent, curry without rice but with salad/naan was a welcome change too! Staff could not have been more helpful, very attentive and brought water for our dog. All in all could not recommend black venus enough.

Visited this lovely restaurant for the first time last week. The welcome from the staff was amazing so friendly and warm.Our meals were gorgeous, I had Tandoori,my husband had a fish curry and we had rice and peshwari naan.Food and service could not be bettered.Highly recommended.

We visited this wonderful place whilst on holiday and it’s absolutely stunning. I loved the detailed decor and the vibe. The food is all made freshly on site. We had cake and coffee and my son had the vegan beans and sausage on toast and it’s safe to say we have all devoured our food.

I have just read a review for The Hunters Inn .Saddens me to read it .We were the hosts of that function.The Staff are always friendly,and the food is outstanding as it always . I would not ever give them a Two Star .Their was no way the vegetables were soggy,My husband and many more had the beef and all said it was tender.Seeing it took four weeks to write the review and as host feel this was not a true insight to everyone else that was their .Please Hunters team keep up your great work .

I'm so glad we found this lovely gem. Had Sunday lunch, and it was so nice to actually have hot, freshly prepared food. Huge sizes, no room for dessert. 3 different plate sizes offered, I had medium, which really was a large plate of food. Very reasonably priced, the lady owner was so lovely and attentive, she made us feel very welcome. We will be going back to sample more home cooked delights.

Had a really lovely meal at the Glasshouse, downstairs is a funky bar serving cocktails and light snacks.Upstairs is an a la carte restaurant with a glass roof , with retro furniture of a Scandinavian style. Extensive menu of which 80% is gluten free which suits my coeliac wife. We were served by Beth a very knowledgeable and helpful young lady. There is also a small outdoor seating area with heaters , all in all really great place to eat.

A large chips is enough to feed my entire family, which is amazing. The price for a large chips is only £3.50, which is a steal. I ordered takeaway for delivery. The online ordering is useless and needs addressing as not the first time I've had problems with it but I just rang them. Took my order over phone, delivery was a bit longer than advised. But delivery driver was really courteous and the food was lovely! If you expect the usual insipid veg curry sauce with a biryani you'll be disappointed. But Ganges biryani is really good, well spiced and the lamb one I ordered was so succulent.Really nice food and excellent customer service, would recommend.
