Proper pub with welcoming atmosphere, good food, amazing beer garden and brilliant staff. The team behind the bar went out of their way to make this a great experience for everyone. We were a party visiting the area with kids and adults and couldn’t have been made more welcome. Service was great from the friendly team and nothing was too much trouble for them.Food was solid with some really good simple meals using local ingredients (gammon; beef shin; ham, egg and chips) although our kids didn’t love the pizza.Don’t miss the beer garden. One of the best views from a pub garden we have experienced.Highly recommended.Kid-friendliness: The kids in our party (aged 6-10) were made to feel very welcome by locals and staff. Good options on the menu (smaller versions of the mains). They liked the play area in the beer garden.

Great food (perhaps a tad too much cheese on the pizza - it was LADEN), incredible chips, lovely people. Really nice views out the back. Well priced.

We didn’t eat here but it seemed busy every time we visited with lots of reserved signs on the tables so probably worth booking ahead. Our favourite bit about this pub was the gardens at the rear. At first it looks like a car park with a smoke shelter but walk through the arch and you get a wonderful surprise. A lovely tiered garden with benches tucked away and a great climbing frame for the kids in the bottom tier. The view was lovely over the trees and fields, very peaceful

We booked for 4 adults and 5 children. Some things on the menu were not available but this was due to the bank holiday weekend. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food was great. Definitely recommend the fish , large pieces and the beer batter is amazing. The pub is in a small village and parking can be a bit tricky! But it’s worth the effort.

Best place for gluten free and vegan, veggie food, locally run so lots of local knowledge. Saw the review about batter and no fish & was really surprised by the review as the fish & chips is gluten free with a lovely big piece of filleted cod. We had several meals there and the Resturant is separated from the pool table and they have a fantastic garden space. My hubby likes the garden burger & vegan chilly and I am thrilled that the deserts are also gf. Very friendly staff and are open to having any concerns raised.

Great atmosphere. Amazing quality reasonably priced food. The pizza are handmade and probably amongst the best I have eaten.

Food that makes you smileI can honestly say that this has been the best Pub food experience I have had for many years. If you want simple, honest, comforting pub food then the Kings Arms is the place to goStaff are welcoming and polite and you are greeted with a smile. This is a very busy , vibrant pub and I would recommend booked to ensure you get a table, we rocked up about 7.10 on a Sunday evening and where very lucky to get the last table availableWe had a Cod Burger and Ham egg and chips, I hope the photos do it justice, both were very generous in size and of the highest quality and taste.Proper real chips cooked to perfection, the cod portion about 2”thick flakey and moist.Ham was about 1cm thick and 2 large slices, all with fantastic flavour.Excellent value for money

Lovely pub. Sam really looked after our large family group of 13. 8 adults and 5 kids. Food was delicious. Sam told us to let the kids play outside whilst the food was being prepared and he'd call us when it was ready. Impressively when it did arrive, it all came out at the same time with no mistakes. Would highly recommend.

The food was OK, the staff were very busy when we came due to a large party that was in. Food was still served in good time. I had the cod burger which was lovely.Parking: Again due to the busy time we came there was no parking close by so build this in with your timings as you may have to walk a distance.
