Had Sunday lunch today as staying in a cottage in Darracott. I am only a small eater so ordered Small size. What a surprise I got when it arrived 6 choices of Vegplus Roasties. The Sirloin was so succulent and great Yorkshire pud. Dog friendly.

One of the best roast dinners we've ever eaten. The lamb and beef were flavoursome, tender and perfectly cooked. And the sides... wow, there was so much variety, and all of them were delicious! It's a great country pub and we will definitely come back!

Nice place to eatParking: Parking in free car park nearby, follow signs for village car park on opposite side of road behind hedgeWheelchair accessibility: Steps down into pub and narrow doorways into toilets, not sure you'd comfortably get a wheel chair in.

Had a really lovely Sunday lunch here with 5 uni friends down to visit. Really friendly place they found us a great table in the bar and looked after us all very well. Lunch was great, beef cooked perfectly (not overdone) and there was Otter on tap which I love. Will definitely be back, thank you ?

After reading the reviews for Sunday lunch here we had expectations. Firstly, upon booking I was advised that it wouldn't be a problem to order a gluten-free Yorkshire pudding/gluten-free lunch at the time of ordering. Upon arrival we were told that this was inaccurate information, they apologised said that they didn't know who would have told us this. Obviously they could and should find out! For a Celiac this inaccuracy would have devastating. The meal was average. Stringy, fatty, roast beef which we struggled to cut with the cutlery provided. Soft tasteless roast potatoes, we prefer crispy. The array of vegetables was excellent and perfectly cooked. The gravy was watery and tasteless. The waitress told us that she would bring gluten-free cauliflower cheese later, it never arrived. The pub itself is charming, warm, a cosy log burner, lovely surroundings. Such a shame the food let it down. We regularly dine out for Sunday Lunch , therefore comparisons are naturally made.

Cosy wood burning stove, efficient and friendly service and one of the best pies I've ever had.
