Rock Hill, Georgeham, BrauntonWow what an experience you were made welcome as soon as you walked in the door the food was out of this world very large portions but what we left they boxed it up for wizard lasted him all the next day my sister wizard the boxer puppy and I were really impressed we thank you so much and would thoroughly recommend gold stars all round ? ? ❤️

1 Exeter Rd, BrauntonBest fish and chips shop I have been to, I think for me this beats krispies now. The food was amazing, service was top tier with very friendly and attentive staff. I can see why it was booked out and you need to book in advance, the takeway section is also busy to. They offer free top up chips which was fabtastic and thier milkshake were one of the best.

Cafe Croyde Bay
Moor Ln, Croyde, BrauntonWe had lunch here and it is a lovely place to stop, very welcoming and relaxing. The drinks where all good and the food was so close to being excellent but the bread was lower quiltity than the rest of the sandwich which felt it down. The chips however where really good.

Wrafton, BrauntonBest Carvery I've enjoyed in years. We were given a generous portion of the three meats on offer - Turkey, Pork (with cracking), Lamb. All extremely tasty. A generous assortment of vegetables, potatoes and Yorkshire pudding available. Gravy was excellent

1 St Mary's Rd, Croyde, BrauntonI’ve just left New Coast Kitchen having returned for the second time since visiting near Croyde over a year ago - it continues to be one of the best restaurants I’ve had the pleasure to eat at. I’m just upset I don’t live nearby otherwise I’d be here more often!
The Crab Tortellini with Sriracha butter sauce is a dish I’ve thought about over the past year and coming back it was better than I remembered. All time favourite starter.
Had a delicious Pork Belly Main and The Hake tasted delicious. And the coffee cake dessert - wow, I’m not a dessert person usually but I had a feeling I’d enjoy this, and boy was I right!
Thanks again and I’ll be back!

Unison Croyde Bay Holiday Resort
Croyde, BrauntonI’ve been visiting Unison Croyde Bay for 11 years, and it’s somewhere I’ve always felt happy returning to. The staff are genuinely lovely — welcoming, kind, and a big part of why my stays have always been so enjoyable. Over the years I’ve built a great relationship with them, and that’s something I really appreciate.
The only thing that has become a little challenging is how busy the pool area gets during school holidays. Because locals can use the facilities all day for just £4, the pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room can fill up very quickly. As someone who travels for a peaceful break, it can sometimes make it harder to relax, especially when there are more locals than residents using the space. There have even been time when my family had to queue to get into the pool, and on a few occasions I’ve felt uncomfortable due to the looks I’ve received from some locals, as if I’m in their way — even though I’m a resident staying on-site.
I completely understand the resort wanting to support the local community, and outside of school holidays it works really well. It might just help during the school hoildays, to have a few residents‑only hours in the morning and evening, so guests staying at the resort can enjoy some quieter time. A small change like this would make a big difference without taking anything away from the locals.
I still love Unison Croyde Bay, but because of how busy the pool area has become during peak times, I don’t visit as often as I used to. I used to come 3/4 times a year, and now it’s only once or twice. I’m sharing this feedback because I care about the resort and want it to stay the relaxing, welcoming place I’ve enjoyed for over a decade.

The Beach Cafe Downend, Croyde
Car Park, Down Ln, Croyde, BrauntonLiterally unreal! Came here multiple times during my stay in Croyde and the scran always hit the spot. The Sri Lankan curry was out of this world (vegan option!!!) especially with the gorgeous sea views. Their cheesy chips are perfection and their baguettes are lovely and crusty. Staff are lovely and able to explain all allergens well. They make it quick too, but you can tell it’s fresh. Highly recommend???

34 Church St, BrauntonHaven’t been on here for a few years so decided to come along for Sunday lunch after seeing a number of good reviews. Very glad we did!
Food was awesome with the roasts being everything you want in a roast, and tasting lovely! My wife then had the white choc cheesecake which was equally good.
Service was spot on.
Very surprised this place wasn’t busier as it certainly deserves the custom. Will definitely come here for dinner again!!

Food was of great quality, service was really quick and friendly and atmosphere was really chilled out in the rear garden. Dog friendly too in the outside areas, in which they kindly restocked with fresh water for my best boy.

Atmosphere was great, they’ve got a lovely outside spot to eat on sunny days. The peanut butter with banana and honey on toast was amazing! Had as a sweet to my savoury breakfast, highly recommend to anyone in the area.

42 South St, BrauntonLovely hidden gem. This public house warms you when you come in not only by the warm welcome of the locals but also the coal fire. A must visit you won't regret it.
Parking: The parking is located at Caen parking in the middle of Braunton if you head to the end of the car park near the chemist park there and the pub is on the one way road from the top exit on your left. A minute walk.
Free after 6pm too.

Winsham Road, Knowle, BrauntonWhat an absolute peach of a find this place is. We enjoyed a lovely birthday meal with friends.. The atmosphere was fun and the food, something else. I especially enjoyed my crab on sourdough crumpet starter. OMG. Only slight disappointment was chatting to the chef and he likes to constantly invent new things so maybe this won't be on the menu next time. Maybe it will be better! Can't wait to find out.

The white lion Braunton
North St, BrauntonJust wanted to say a big thank you to the landlady who kindly allowed me to borrow two wine glasses for the Indian Restaurant across the road who didn't have a single wine glass in their restaurant.
I only popped in for a few minutes but the staff seemed friendly, the atmosphere great and the locals at the bar welcoming. When I'm next in the area I'll definitely stop by for a drink.

The service was fast and super polite. We had chicken chow mein, the best I've had in such a long time. Thankyou ☺️
Chicken curry was also fab, full of chicken and the sauce was just the right amount of tasty/heat.
Chips, ok they're frozen but absolutely huge portion.
Dry spare ribs were ?. Only thing I'd say is to include a few slices of lemon.
Free prawn crackers.

25 East St, BrauntonNew landlord and landlady. We were the only customers for most of the time we were there, but the pub was packed the previous night. We were made to feel very welcome and had a lovely conversation with both of them. Ordered curry, which came with nan bread, poppadoms, and mango chutney. The food was very tasty, well presented, and good value for the price.

Brinjal Bhaji is the favourite - you can tell the chefs take their time with the prep and don't cut corners. if you like meat Tandoori Chicken on the bone is not to be missed.
