Mariners is a friendly local pub. Lively and busy on the weekend and a little quieter during the week. Lovely atmosphere.

The friendliest pub in Braunton. If you're lonely, go to the Mariners, if you're sad, go to the Mariners, if you're really happy and have great news to share, go to the Mariners!! Wonderful staff, wonderful people, lovely traditional pub atmosphere.

Lovely little pub to stumble across before dinner. Gentleman behind the bar must be ex-forces, but couldn’t be more polite. Perhaps the most politest barman I’ve ever come across. Had a pint of Eric, local brew from Clearwater. Excellent. Enemy has a wine and she seemed happy, if nothing else, I wasn’t getting nagged. In fact we came back to see the night out. Good local history, dotted all around the pub. Very much splendid local feel to the vibe.

What a fantastic pub, was greeted and served in great time from the barman Lee who was super polite, cheerful and helpful, great service seeing as it was very busy and Lee still made time to chat whilst serving. There was plenty of choices of ales from locally brewed to the more commercial drinks. A pool table area is to left when entering the main door but the main bar offered ample of seating and tables with a darts playing area to the rear. The hidden gem, apart from the staff was the large beer garden at the rear of the premises, a great area for kids to run around and the pub is dog friendly aswell. All was well kept clean and tidy giving a good impression for the customer experience. Overall, the experience was fantastic, we stayed all evening drinking and chatting to the locals, the only down side was no food on offer, but again we were allowed to order a take away so not all was lost. Fantastic place, will most definitely visit again. 5 star rating.

Not much of a welcome or how are you, felt like a locals pub if they know you you would probably get a hello how are you today. Not an ale drinkers pub even though there were 5 pumps and only 1 ale on but it was very good and reasonably priced.

Brilliant pub with easily the best kept pint in Braunton! We were made to feel very welcome by the regulars and especially the Bar Manager who is friendly, professional and polite (hope you have a great honeymoon in France). The pub has a great selection of drinks within a friendly atmosphere. We will return! Scott, Jo and girls

Excellent local pub with a really good atmosphere. Was welcomed upon arriving by the landlord and made to feel really valued as a customer. I can't speak too highly about this place. Engaged in several conversations with the locals and probably best of all was the quality of the real ale. Top notch local bitter on handpump. I only went in for one pint and stayed for three! I shall definitely return to this fabulous pub.
