A brilliant local village pub that offers everything. Wonderful cosy bar area with fire and seating in both bar and in the separate restaurant to eat. Always an amazing menu to choose from - more than you would imagine - and lovely staff who make you very welcome. Our whole family’s favourite pub in Devon. You won’t be disappointed.Vegetarian options: Always a vegetarian option (vegetarian burger is amazing)Parking: A good 20 places at least I would think and also street parking outside the pubKid-friendliness: Very friendly and accommodating especially for those with young children - brilliant place

Ashill Inn is our favourite local restaurant, the quality is just excellent. Their food is delicious, and they have a good variety of dishes including vegetarian options. I hope their chef is there for long time to come. Experiences at other, usually good reliable, restaurants have been very mixed lately, Ashill have been consistent with their high standards every time we've visited.

Really enjoyed our visit here. The ambience, staff and food were all excellent. A pleasant room, friendly atmosphere and smiley, courteous staff. The food didn’t disappoint. Good sized portions, definitely a step up from ‘pub grub’ and beautifully presented. Everything we had was delicious. Would definitely return and happy to recommend.
8 of us went to celebrate my birthday. I wanted to try somewhere different and we went to the Ashill Inn having never been there before. We weren’t disappointed and I would say that it was probably the best pub meal I have ever had.

We eat fairly regularly in this area, but one place on a main road is always far too busy and another pub has become rather bad food wise and is only now good for ham egg and chips. Travelling in even further into the depths of countryside we tried for the first time the Ashill Inn and were very pleased indeed we did. Excellent food, well served by nice staff. With such a nice meal we went ‘overboard’ and treated ourselves to an eton mess, which was lovely but we did feel rather well fed after it! It won’t be long until we will be back
