Nice cosy atmosphere with friendly family staff, standard menu has nice options and there are always nice specials to choose from (the smoked salmon sandwich bangs). Enjoy when they open for evenings too.

The Merry Harriers

We arrived here as a large group with no notice. They were warm and incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond, opening up one of their back rooms to give us a space to eat together as a family. I don't think they knew but this was the weekend of my grandfather's funeral and their kindness and incredible service really let us properly be together as a family. The food was excellent and even when a mistake was made they happily and efficiently sorted it without issue. I would highly recommend this place without hesitation and will hopefully have the opportunity to eat here again some day.

Ashill Inn

Again and again this cosy pub cannot be beat on quality and quantity (which is always large and we always leave with a meal for the next day). Lady owner is lovely as are all the staff.A gem of a village pub who have simply got the fundamentals right. We love it.John and Kelly

The Steamer Coffee House and Kitchen

Good breakfast, quick service despite being fairly busy. A bit noisy with the toddlers playground bit but not a problem. Would be a good place for families, lots of space. I'll be back..

The Blacksmiths Arms

I popped in to deliver some Exe Ale magazines, the newsletter of the local branch of CAMRA, the CAMpaign for Real Ale.I decided to stop for Sunday lunch, I chose to have pork & chicken & was pleasantly surprised how large the portions of meat were. ? There were lovely seasonal vegetables including roast potatoes & sweet potatoes, carrots, parsnips, cabbage & cheesy leeks. There was also a Yorkshire pudding, a large sausage, not the usual chipolatas, apple sauce, cranberry sauce & lashings of gravy.I followed this with a piece of Thunder & lightning cheesecake which I think was the best piece of cheesecake that I have ever had. It was Honeycomb, a lot bigger than I expected &. There must have been half of a Crunchie crumbled over the top & a big swirl of toffee sauce. OMG it was fantastic. ?? This was washed down with 2 pints of Exeter Avocet Ale. ?

Perfectly situated in the centre of the historic town Cullompton.Parking near was fine.The vibe straight away was cosy and chill No rushing about.Well organised staff and a very well organised menu.I started off with a coffee as im a coffee snob. Came out under 3 minutes. It was perfect and too my liking as I asked.I am vegetarian and there was plenty of choice in the menu for me.I ordered the quorn chilli. I wish I had taken a photo of it.It was absolutely delicious and the portion was perfect.I was impressed with the conveniences in the w/c just shows that every little detail has been made perfectly into this place.I spoke with the staff and they confirmed that all that I had consumed was locally sourced and chosen by the owner even my coffee which impressed me.I will definitely be coming back.10/10 from mexXx

The Pony & Trap

The best a small pub can be; really friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. Fairly busy (considering it was early evening Monday) and seemed to be a good mix of locals and tourists. There was an extensive range of real ales (local and national), and certainly I can vouch for the quality of the two I tried. Already planning to go again at the end of this month. Highly recommended

Noor Sitara Indian Restaurant & Takeaway

Fantastic food. Waitress was amazingly hospitable as were all the staff there. Small and personal but great atmosphere although a bit noisy due to its small size.

First time I've been there, staff very friendly, coffee and cake good and if your into car racing it's a great place to explore the race track simulation they have there.

Keepers Cottage Inn

We popped in on the off chance that we could get some food and, despite it being officially past last orders for food on a Sunday lunchtime, they pulled out all the stops for us and we had the most delicious roast beef and roast pork dishes! We were really happy that we took the chance and will most definitely be back! Thanks to everyone for your helping two weary travellers in their hour of need! 10/10!

Halfway House

Since lockdown I have struggled to find a restaurant that still values good customer service and quality food. My search has happily come to an end. The halfway house staff were efficient and attentive. The food arrived at a good pace and was very enjoyable.Thank you Halfway House.We will be back.

The Dovetail Café

Lovely quirky spot, easy and free to park. Often stop for coffee - their flat white is great and the carrot cake is delicious! They do paninis as well. Make sure you walk around the antiques, and if you have your dog with with you, can you walk through the old cider orchards on public

Bluebell

Always top notch food. Recommend the all day breakfast, especially if you are a builder or a lorry driver because the restaurant is right behind the Willand petrol station.

Fry Station Fish & Chips

An absolute gem. Knocks spots of the local competition! Well worth driving the few miles past another 2 chip shops on the way!Kid-friendliness: A really good value kids menu at a great price.

Popped into the Bell for the Saturday breakfast£5 and £7 for large one includes tea and coffee plus toast the one in the picture is a small £5 One ,great value probably the cheapest in cullompton good fast service

Ripleys Restaurant

Some hotel restaurants are a bit blandish...but not here! Outside look of the hotel is a little corporate but inside the lounge, bar and restaurant are really nice spaces. I had the spicy meatballs to start, very tasty, very filling and fresh. Cheeseboard was delicious and good value for money, as was the Shiraz! Waiting staff all pleasant, efficient and friendly.

Golden Eagle

I'm a lorry driver and you just get fed up with the same old burger n chips or chicken n chips when your nighting out in the truck for the night and fancied something different for a change. These guys were Absolutely fantastic ! I explained my situation and the non-residential address and they were more than happy to deliver road side to me !! Brilliant service and very nice clean food with lots of flavour. Thank you Golden Eagle ??

Big Bites Sandwiches

Big Bites Sandwiches are absolutely lovely! My favourite is the Lemon Pepper Chicken Sub. I used to get these regularly when I worked close to a garage that sold them. Can I buy your sandwiches from your office in Cullompton or just in stores?

Fordmore Farm Shop & Cafe

Myself and my husband normally like to visit the cafe during the week where we can never fault the staff who are very friendly and efficient. Previously visiting on a weekend we found it to be very busy and the staff somewhat lacking in customer service department. However, this weekend we visited with our grandchildren and their partners for breakfast… we were pleased to see a couple of the weekday staff hard at work (sorry I don’t know their names but one is younger and we think used to work at a cafe in the high street and the other is an older lady.) Good staff really do rub off on one another and it was a great experience. Yes we had to wait longer for our order to be taken but orders were being taken in order for the people that arrived first which we understood. I would say that the food wasn’t up to its usual standards but I do question if they maybe have too many options when it’s busy and it not only slows them down but leads to mistakes being made?? Something for them to think about!! I feel that some of the reviews on the google account aren’t a true reflection of this absolute gem of a cafe.

Called in here today...what a great find, we had a family lunch here which was delicious, all freshly cooked, nice and hot and tasty, very reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and helpful ? nothing too much trouble. What a lovely place! Conveniently just off junction 27 M5 so great little stop off place!We had an excellent welcome from Sue and the staff! The service was excellent as was the food. We will definitely be going back!

The Golden Lion

Helpful , friendly and knowledgeable staff. Don't usually like Chinese that much. This definitely took it to another level in terms of quality and value for money.Impressed at flavour, fresh tasting, 30 minutes to wait. Nice area at the front with a comfortable seat. Seemed to be a few local people coming in for their usual which is a good sign ?.Got the order correct, free prawn crackers were good too.I think you can eat in too, although haven't tried this option as yet.

Best place to order Chinese Takeaway! Although a tad expensive, it's worth paying the premium over the competition!Indoor seating area however was first closed due to Covid and is remaining closed for the foreseeable.
