Gorgeous wee bakery with delicious

We went in to have some lunch on the spur of the moment, I ordered the drinks and food at the counter. Then went to pay. The man said 'Card only'. I said I can't pay by card and cash is still legal tender. He said I don't make the rules, its card only! I felt insulted and very annoyed at his attitude. I had about £200 in my pocket in cash and he was making me feel like a third class citizen. We left. What a terrible, rude place this is and the food is not Cornish as it says all of the stuff in the window was fancy this and fancy that. I know it says Cornish Bakery but as they are in Devon, they could make a Devon Pasty for people to try. They were made all of the time and are nicer the the Cornish ones. I hate Dartmouth now. No locals, no local character, it is all second home owners and vastly inflated prices. Not a 'normal Cafe' in site. The cheapest cup of tea we could find was £2.50. Why do people have to ruin towns like this? Many of the Southwest towns are now 'Gone'. If you go to Salcombe in the Winter there is no one there and now Dartmouth is becoming the same. The Character has gone and this Nuvo rich better than everyone, don't care about anyone attitude exists. Such a shame.

Bought a pasty, sausage roll and some plain scones. Pasty and sausage roll were good but the scones were so salty we couldn’t eat them. I think the baker used salt instead of sugar. Inedible.

Spent around £10 on 4 scones and they were the most disgusting scones I have ever eaten. Super salty (can only assume someone put salt in instead of sugar), completely inedible, all went in the bin. Waste of money, don't bother.

Friendly service, great value. My wife and I visited for first time. The hot chocolate and chain latte were the BEST we have ever tasted. And the sausage roll was delicious. Finished with 2 fresh and tasty almond and cherry croissants!!! Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed the hot, fresh sausage rolls and the BLC pasties.Took home 2 of the bacon cheese slices too, the best thing on offer!! They put a major highstreet brand's (let's call it meggs) to utter shame! Incredible!!!

Called in recently on a Monday before going out for the day, they start early so I was able to get our pasties which was great. I had the best flat white ever which was only let down by the cup which leaked otherwise I would have given five stars, thankyou.

The staff at this bakery are all so lovely and friendly and the food is amazing! Had takeaway pasties and cream tea. The Cornish Bakery shops do not get it wrong.

Unfriendly welcome, can only pay by card! no cash payments. There was no sign by the till. Got our drink order wrong. My advise to them would be some polite customer service wouldn't go a miss.

Friendly staff and a fantastic choice of sweet treats and savoury pasties I wasn’t too impressed with not being able to pay with cash though!
