Myself, my son and grandson wanted to go in this morning for coffee and cakes but were turned away at the door by the plump dark haired waitress as she said they were serving lunches only. It was 10 o'clock in the morning!! I live in Dawlish and I was disgusted by this treatment of us.

We go here at least once a month for breakfast and always take guest here on a Saturday or Sunday for breakfast. It's consistently good quality food and great service.

We've eaten in both the deli and the cafe on several occasions, and the food has been excellent each time. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere and decor of both the deli and cafe are welcoming, relaxed and stylish. Highly recommended.

I came with friends on the weekend and we all enjoyed our food (the crispy streaky bacon was particularly good), but the chorizo eggs we all agreed only had one slightly scrambled egg in which was a costly breakfast at over £12.50 once bacon had been added as an extra. It was also a £1 extra charge for gluten free. This felt a bit unfair considering the quantity of bread was not comparable to my non gluten free friends quantity of bread and that most people who ask for gluten free do so for medical reasons. To be fair, I asked afterwards and was told that more can be provided at no cost, but this seems odd to me if they ask for extra in the first place.

I have visit the deli often since I 1st discovered this awesome eatery in June every time I come to Exeter I have to visit the deli and this time I made sure I could have a table in the cafe next door by booking ! The food is full of delicious flavours, always balanced and proper wholesome food with being presented lovely. For lunch today I had the gorgeous aubergine bake with pesto sourdough. Epic Then progress of to trying to choose a cake for dessert which is always tricky as I always want to taste everyone ! This time I had the chocolate caramel cake a light caramel sponge with a. Rich chocolate ganache perfectly balanced once again ! Can’t wait till I am back again , if only I had this incredible eatery in Lymington, Hampshire ??

We ordered one coffee, one tea and two hot chocolates. Well, I felt, for the price, the cups were small. Our hot chocolate was luke warm, when we really wanted a HOT chocolate. The waitress took mine away and "re-warmed" it, but even then it was not too hot. The bill for the four drinks was nearly £14, which we thought was very expensive. We will never go there again. It certainly wasn't value for money.
