The Fish Bar
Hazelwood Holiday Park, Warren Rd, Dawlish Warren, DawlishAmazing food and staff!I ordered fish and chips for delivery during Covid and the staff were so kind and careful. When the food arrived, the delivery driver was wearing gloves and a mask and was really polite. The food itself was exceptional! The fish was perfectly cooked and the chips were hot and crispy, even though they had been boxed up for delivery.I was so happy I ordered from them and a bit sad that I didn't discover them sooner. By far the best fish and chips in Dawlish Warren!

Hakaryu Chinese Takeaway
3 Warren Rd, Dawlish Warren, DawlishJune 2023, ordered beef chow mein; bloody tasty.September 2023, ordered again; bloody tasty...Service, not the best, very abrupt, which took away the atmosphere, but the food has been excellent. It may be our chosen dish, and other reviews were putting me off, but I have no regrets - good noodles!

Chip A'Hoy
20-22 Queen St, DawlishHubby had a beautiful medium cod and chips Saturday night, absolutely huge piece of cod for a medium, even their small cod that one of my sons had was bigger than the so called large cod we had from a certain chippy in Dawlish "Warren" a few weeks back.My other son and I had jumbo battered sausage and chips each and they were absolutely lovely.Curry sauce and mushy peas were lovely, all cooked fresh and all served with a smile and a friendly chat .Highly recommended traditional chippy that cares about its customers and its food and is very reasonably priced in the current climate.Yes it's usually busy at weekends but well worth the wait for the quality of food they serve.See you again soon.

Siew May
Russell Court, 4 King St, DawlishLooked on Tripadvisor for good takeaway near Dawlish Warren and Siew May came up. We weren’t disappointed, the food as great. Large portions. If ordering for children, I would ask if one is enough for two. I ordered 2 chow mein specials (No.17) for an 11 and 10 year old, and one meal between them would have been enough. The kitchen is open and visible so you can see your food being prepared. All spotlessly clean, staff wearing clean whites. The lady who took our order was very welcoming with a lovely smile. Very quick service. Satnav does get you there, although I drove past it and had to go round again! I think it’s worth a visit.

Langstone Cliff Hotel, Devon
4 Mount Pleasant Rd, Dawlish Warren, Dawlish4 nights in March for dance break and felt very comfortable there. Lovely location with easy access to some nice walks or bike rides. Very family orientated but lots of space so didn’t compromise enjoyment. As always with a hospitality business, staff attitude is vital. The employees we met were unfailingly pleasant and helpful. Food was very enjoyable and we used room service which was excellent.

Cofton Holidays
Cofton Ln, Starcross, ExeterPros- nice clean site and friendly staff. Nice flat gravelled pitch but no good for a wheelchair user.Cons - allocated a pitch at one end of the site with a steep incline to navigate to reach all services. It was also extremely noisy day and night with constant road traffic on the A379. Not the idyllic peaceful break you would have expected in rural Devon. We booked online using the disabled shortcut only to find the pitch we were allocated was totally unsuitable for a wheelchair user. The accessible pitches have astroturf which is fine if you never leave the pitch. However in reality the journey to the restaurant, shop, entertainment and visitor centre is up a steep incline, so extremely challenging if you are self propelling a wheelchair! We only booked because the website claims the campsite to be disabled friendly. Maybe if you are able bodied you might have that perception but I can assure you it’s not.As many other patrons have pointed out the Wi-Fi app doesnt work unless you purchase a voucher code, so fundamental things like checking and adding mains electric are a huge issue when the phone signal is poor.We bought 2 breakfast vouchers but then had to pay £3.75 extra for a drink. Very unusual? I’m surprised they don’t charge extra for the hire of a plate, cup and utensils as every other essential is made an extra charge at Cofton. We made a mistake in our breakfast order and had to return one to have the eggs cooked through fully. It took 10 minutes to reappear and all the rest of the breakfast was stone cold. In complete contrast the Sunday Carvery the following day was a real treat. The quality of the food was great and a member of staff was extremely helpful in bringing my plate to me.
