Usually a good bet to seek a café or restaurant away from the centre of town and waterfront. Modern interior, excellent coffee and sandwiches. A hearty soup of the day. Friendly crew and doggy friendly. Supported by locals. ????

This cafe is ok, and we valued the fast service from staff. The coffee was nice and the cakes. We might go again, although there are so many cafes in Dawlish we were spoilt for choice. Very nice location near the park and there was a giant car park within walking distance.

Rude rude rude! I’ve been in there a few times and have to say it’s either the manager or owner but she’s rude, sometimes she’s nice don’t get me wrong but more times outta ten no. I get it must be stressful but when you’ve done nothing wrong and made to feel you’ve shot her it’s quite annoying. I went to eat my pasta I had brought from somewhere else and had my coffee I brought from there and told I had to leave and couldn’t eat it there I then asked politely if she had a fork I could use and take with me just a plastic one but before I could even finish my sentence she says NO I DONT HAVE ONE. asked politely too if it’s okay for me to eat outside and jo, all of that is okay but politeness and manners go along way, maybe I should have took no as no but is there much wrong with making sure, was nothing personal and I won’t take it personally either but I’ll never eat here again!

Clean, airy and chatty staff plus their chocolate-orange shortbread cake is quite the sensation. Added to my happy memory of Dawlish!

Living in dawlish I know good cafes this without doubt the best value. Breakfast big appetite and great value. Smaller portion available. The girls are very helpful and served hot and fresh . My number 1 to go . Highly recommended.Coffee also and cake so caters for all.

Lovely place, the drink and service was great but some of the food was rather over the top and littered with sweet ingredients. Either way good Café

Very friendly staff and varied menu. Food ordered was well cooked and presented. Coffee was excellent ?

I am a dog lover but there were 5 in the other day, in a small area that is quite a few. The number of dogs allowed inside should be limited or they should have to sit outside with their owner(s) on the terrace. You should also bear in mind that some people have a fear of dogs which might stop them coming into the cafe.

Now called Woodies….why has Tripadvisor not amended it? We came before with the old owner ..it’s still good. Warm welcome clean and tidy. Best cooked breakfast in Dawlish Warm welcome & hot tea..and toast too

This used to be our favourite cafe in Dawlish but the lady in charge most days isn’t at all friendly. Young girl who brings your food is very pleasant. Now charge for dog treats. Shame really as will look to go elsewhere.

Had a really lovely lunch here last week, yummy food and a really delicious fruit smoothie made fresh to order. Bagel could have come with some salad or coleslaw to make it more of a meal, but delicious flavors nevertheless. Decor was lovely and despite being small, was a great place to have a bite to eat and would go back.

Great wee cafe with lovely choice of cakes and light meals - soup, paninis, wraps and small/large breakfasts too ?
