“I had a spa treatment there, quite while a go. I enjoyed every bit of it. The lady who was doing for me was very informative, and I felt amazing after the treatment. There is a possibility to save up some money if you pay for a few treatments in advance. Additionally, you are given a card , which after 5 visits gives you half an hour of massage of your choice. I think it's a great way to encourage customers to come back, considering that they have a great deal of different treatments.”

“Situated opposite Exeter's majestic cathedral in what appears to be an old banking hall, I enjoyed a festive lunch here, whilst the Christmas ? Market was hastily being assembled outside. I was warmly welcomed in and shown to a comfortable, cushioned corner near the bar. All the staff, without exception, were well presented, polite and attentive. I would particularly like to commend Ashli for her outstanding service and efficiency and I do hope that the management will find itself in a position to recognise this. I ordered the festive goose and turkey shepherd's pie with the peas and broad beans accompaniment. Although the side dish was prepared to perfection (something on which many restaurants seem to skip), the main dish was only lukewarm at best. However, it was still flavoursome and well presented but definitely not at its optimum temperature, which was somewhat of a disappointment, given the price of food and beverages here. The Devon organic cider paired surprising well with this dish. For dessert, I opted for the clementine and orange ? sorbet, sophisticatedly presented with white chocolate and a winter spiced sauce. Here, I was not disappointed: a real treat for the tongue! This venue is very good therefore and definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere was great but for me, it only attracted four stars because of the temperature of the food and for the reason that I wasn't quite as "blown away" as I was in the establishments that I have previously reviewed and to which I have accorded 5 stars.”

“Great pub, lovely (enormous) Sunday lunch. Very dog friendly (9 humans, 4 dogs today). It's right on the Exe, and there's a brilliant walk along it for your dog's before and after lunch. The servers were lovely. If in the area we will go again.”

“Is a lovely pub, they have restaurant area which looks beautiful but need to book in advance. We sat in the bar area. The atmosphere is really nice, full of friendly locals.The food was good but I personally think it can be improved a bit. The starters were very tasty but barely warm, probably because it took long to get out.I had a double cheeseburger which was good, but I would have preferred for the bun to be warm. It was a bit weird having a piping hot burger with cold bun.Overall I have enjoyed the food and I will return. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful!”
