Absolutely gorgeous pub, decent size, plenty of parking, outside benches, lunch time menu has loads to offer at a very reasonable price. The staff were really friendly and attentive, didn't have to wait long after ordering. This was the best steak baguette I've ever had! Cooked to perfection, fresh crisp salad and really crunchy fries! Enjoyed this so much! Great value for money. Will definately stop off here again!
Visited Friday lunchtime for a family celebration (50th birthday). On arrival we found our table decorated. The staff were so friendly. Our drink and food order was taken swiftly and the food arrived quickly. The portions (main menu) were very generous but more importantly the food was super fresh and extra tasty. The fishcake was THE world’s best ever! Thank you so much we will be back again.

We were looking for somewhere for lunch that was dog friendly so decided to try The Travellers Rest. We were greeted warmly and, once we'd been shown to our table, our dog was given a plate of food and a bowl of water. Our food was served in a timely manner it was excellent quality and good value. We will be returning soon.
