Such a shame to write such a report after waiting so long for the booking. In short, a £32 fillet steak has to be spot on, my wife’s was but you could immediately see that mine wasn’t. End piece, big piece of inedible gristle inside it and it was the main event for me! Then, a vanilla and white chocky bread and butter pudding…..yum…except there was neither any taste of vanilla nor white chocky. Just a (nicely textured) plain lump of B&B pud wallowing in poured on double cream. Couldn’t even find any sultanas! It’s way way way too expensive for the quality of food. At these prices, EVERYTHING needs to be absolutely spot on and leave you saying WOW in every course.

This was our second visit to Harry's. The first was late and on spec so this time we booked: a good move! As before though this restaurant excelled in all departments. The atmosphere on each visit was just right - busy enough to be cosy and lively but not so loud as to drown across-the-table conversation. The service was perfect - friendly, knowledgable and spaced nicely to allow time to savour and digest each course. The menu is just right - long enough to provide a good choice but not so long as to make one question what's actually occurring in the kitchen! The food itself was excellent for both of us - beautifully cooked and presented. Overall an excellent experience and a visit is now a must for each time we visit Exeter.
Whilst at Exeter, Harry's was one of my favourite restaurants, reserved for special occasions with family and friends. When I came back for my Master's graduation in December I knew that Harry's was the only place I wanted to go to celebrate with my family and boyfriend. The food, as always, was 10/10 spectacular. The service was amazing. The atmosphere was fittingly festive and celebratory. It was the perfect graduation meal. I had the pate to start, followed by the lasagna and wow. It was honestly all delicious and I'm so sad that Harry's isn't closer to me now that I don't live in Exeter anymore!

Fantastic menu which was well executed. The staff were also excellent. Only downside was a very noisy group who came in towards the end of our meal but that's tough to manage. Highly recommend.

Well designed restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Attentive staff although you never felt rushed. Menu offers a good varied choice , as does the Wine list and they also offer a choice of pre and post dinner cocktails and drinks. Food was of a good standard, the Tuna served pink which was perfect. Reasonably priced for the quality.
