I liked the style of the Ivy, but it felt that there werent enough servers on. It took a while to have our order taken. The food came out in good time. But it took an age for the plates to be cleared, and then they were half cleared...as our waitress started serving food again...so we didnt stay for dessert or coffee. Again, food was good but service needs to be sharper, its not what I expect...having been many times to the actual Ivy where the service is always on point.

Wasn't sure what to expect as first visit & lots of hype when it opened but it was absolutely lovely. Great atmosphere, lovely food, great service, we weren't rushed at all and spent the whole evening relaxed and catching up with friends.

Afternoon tea was mediocre at best and very expensive. Certain cakes were inedible, cream for scones was grainy and over solid. All in all a very disappointing

Absolutely wonderful celebrating breakfast with my partner for our birthdays on 23rd & 25th & then my son joining us with his fiance having a birthday yesterday on the 24th. So all in all lovely enjoyable morning, The Ivy, Exeter.

Unpleasant smell as you entered the building, possibly from the fish. The background music didn't match the ambience of the place. Seating was too cramped. I struggled to get booked in on 3 previous occasions. Food was nice but very overpriced as were the drinks and we were asked if we wanted water when seated which we were charged £5 for. They had sold out of my first choice of main dish, the Guinea Fowl special. Service charge is automatically added, our service was excellent and well deserved but I would have preferred to tip the waitress to ensure she got it. Overall, nice experience but probably wouldn't go back.

I had an Ivy English Breakfast, sadly I wasn’t impressed, both fried eggs were hard, the tomato was cold and uncooked properly, bacon cooked one side only, sausage and potato’s ok. Toast wasn’t granary as told, but Soda bread, rock hard and cold. I ate very little, very disappointed. Staff lovely though and attentive. I didn’t make a complaint.

An affordable treat for brunch, lunch or dinner in Exeter. The Ivy is always busy which adds to the atmosphere. Pleasant, friendly staff provide a relaxing feel which, along with the decor, make eating here a pleasure.

Service good but the food is not good. Soooo over priced. They trick you into thinking it’s nice by having nice wall paper. Unfortunately you cant eat the wall paper .
