Entertainment The entertainment team are amazing! They literally make the holiday what it is. They really get involved and you can tell all the kids love them. Shout out to Alex/Erin/Dom/Sam/Emerson - my girls loved them. They really got into the spirit of things. They made our evenings so special. Best Bingo I’ve ever played lol The team that do all the pantomimes and singing were also amazing and so talented. The staff across the park were lovely from the activity team to the security nothing was too much trouble. Park It does need some tlc in areas, especially the toilets in the main building. Doors don’t lock and always running out of toilet rolls. Our caravan was lovely few niggly bits like stains on the sofa and the curtains were broke, but it was clean. Didn’t have towels like it should have but customer services were lovely and gave us some. I wouldn’t have been happy to pay half term prices with all these issues as the prices do go up an insane amount. Overall I would come here again but mainly because the entertainment team were so amazing and really put on some food shows.

The caravan was perfect for sea view, close to the beach restaurant and bus stop Good value for money all round Only complaint is lack of seats for evening Bingo with a huge que to get tickets. Maybe tickets should be organised elsewhere Would definitely go back again

We hired a caravan through a private hire through Newman holiday homes at Devon Cliffs which was very clean and to a good standard. I would say that we would not be returning to this resort again. The food at the mash and barrel restaurant was clearly vacuum packed microwave meals that were brought out in less than 5 minutes within ordering, very bland and tasteless and most definitely not worth the money. We paid over £100 for the play passes and pretty much all the outdoor activities were closed . Resulting in leaving us with swimming and the arcade and night entertainment, from what we thought we had a good 3 nights away holiday resulting in spending £800 over 3 nights away . Very unhappy in the fact we basically paid all that money just to go swimming

Definitely lapsed their attention to detail. Lots of dogs on the beach owners ignorant to the huge sign stating no dogs, hence dog poo on the shore line. Dogs in the venues peeing up against huts and tables even though states NO dogs. Lots of people too lazy to walk to beach and main entrance so cars everywhere, driving far over 10mph speed limit, nearly got run over as cars dont stop for the zebra crossings. Could do with a train like Center Parcs to ferry people around the park as we were miles from beach and main facilities, would stop lazy drivers also. Sports Bar rude staff, ignore you at the bar and serve whoever's closest, loud drunks shouting football songs like childish thugs, no staff deterring them. Gangs of young kids everywhere, walking around with tops off swearing and sitting in the way on the stairs. Horrible vibe, cheap and tacky, run out of food and drink and only order in on a weekly basis! People parking wherever they feel like. Not nice friendly place it once was, clientele loud, selfish and rude. Staff couldn't give a damn

Brilliant family holiday in Devon. We stayed in Caravan 91 on Apple Grove which had the most amazing Sea View. Our caravan was only a 5 minute walk from the beach/beach bar and 10 minutes from the main entertainment. We had our toddler with us and there was plenty to keep him entertained, we were particularly happy with the swimming pool as there were plenty of toddler slides. We visited Exmouth on the bus as the bus comes onto the site which was great. There is a huge soft play in Exmouth called Ocean which I would strongly recommend. The only downside to the holiday was the cleanliness of the caravan, the floors and furniture were dirty so I cleaned upon arrival as we did not want to change caravan. Overall fanatic holiday and we will be returning next year and cannot wait!

We have just come from a 7 night stay with our one year old at Devon cliffs and based off the reviews we read we were pleasantly surprised. We knew we’d booked out of peak and after all we had only spent £300 ish so we knew what we were expecting. My review is most likely going to sound very negative but that’s because the negative bits are what stood out and I feel the need to make people aware of. Everything else was just neutral, nothing was amazing. The bed was missing 2 slats, so as my partner leaned on it to get in another slat broke, hurting his leg and leaving that side of the bed unusable meaning he had to sleep in another room. We reported it the next morning but nothing was done. We were there for 7 days with a toddler and no Hoover. We did have a sweep up each day but when we left the floor wasn’t the way I would have ideally liked to have left it so I do apologise to the cleaners. As vegetarian, I was disappointed that Burger King didn’t have any options for me. The man on the till didn’t have very strong English so I couldn’t tell if he said they just don’t sell it or that it was just out of stock. Slim chickens also had no options available. I always find people put a vegetarian burger on the menu and think that covers it, but I don’t always want a burger. Mash and barrel did have a good few options but they were always sold out so of course, I ended up having the burger. When we arrived we realised we had forgotten little ones travel cot. When booking I noticed it was £12 to hire one so we didn’t think much of it. We had done a few pit stops before coming here, staying on other campsites throughout Devon so had a look on the app at booking one, I don’t know if it was a technical problem but just a few days before our arrival it was showing £25 for the cot so we decided to leave it and just ask for one when we checked in. The first day they said they were sold out and most likely wouldn’t be getting any come available but to ask each morning as they are first come first serve unless booked in advance. The second morning we were told none available so we asked if we could at least have a bed guard, they couldn’t get hold of the hire shop so said that they’d drop one off to us if there was one available and we’d need to nip back to pay. A few hours later a lovely lady came to drop a bed guard off so we mentioned to her that we really could do with a cot and to let us know if any came in. She said there were lots in stock and had been for a few days! She swapped the bed guard for a cot so we went to reception to pay and they were very confused but didn’t make us pay at all, which was a bonus! The caravan itself was very basic and did need a little sprucing up (broken curtains, screw covers missing, windows dirty on the outside) but it was very spacious and did the job as a pit stop. We were only given one toilet roll, even though the caravan had 2 bathrooms and we were staying for 7 nights.. so be prepared to bring/but some. The beach was nice enough but we found that there was a lot of litter in the sand (which haven can’t be blamed for as there are plenty of bins provided) however I should imagine when life guards are on duty there is less littering. Personally I think when people come out of term time that’s when they bring little children that know no better than to put things in their mouths so maybe a litter picker in the evenings would be a good idea. On the topic of litter, we found a lot of cigarette butts around the caravan which we assume were from the cleaners as when we arrived the cleaners were all sat in their cars smoking. The site itself seems well looked after and the entertainers were all super full of energy and engaging for the kids. I found of all the reception staff I spoke to the 2 ladies were the most helpful. The first man I spoke to seemed as if I was just a major inconvenience to him and the second just seemed confused about what was going on. Unfortunately I didn’t catch any of their names. Of course, the site is on a very steep hill, especially down to the beach so be prepared fo

A great relaxing holiday with sensational views . Lodge was exceptional and from the very moment we arrived we had a great time. Park was clean and today, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was an issue. Bars and restaurants were clean and acceptable. Food quality was good and everything was hot. If I could change a couple Of things I would Like to see WiFi available in caravans and you should explain about the royal Marines firing range so as not to be alarmed about the noise of gunfire daily. Would definitely consider coming back

Have stayed at sandy bay a few times in the past and had a lovely time. This year was a bit of an eye opener to say the least. So many more caravans on site. Caravan we had could have done with a thorough clean. Dirty carpet, cooker, fridge. Also if you are not an EE customer, you will not get a signal for your phone, so if you had an emergency you would not be able to call anybody. All designed to get people to the club and shop area for you to spend money!! Only WiFi in club and shop areas. As soon as you get out of the camp you can get a signal. Shame on devon cliffs. Never had this problem before. Entertainment not as good as it could be. All centered around children, not alot for adults. Sadly. Will not be returning again, we actually came home early.
