Booking a table at the end of service is always a risky shot, but the food provided was as good as the start of service. Roast Sunday meal comprised beautifully tender beef and plenty of vegetables. All served hot and with a smile. Recommended.

We had the pleasure of enjoying Christmas Day lunch and everything went very well. Service was attentive. Staff helpful and friendly Food was delicious. The main person in charge even remembered an allergy that had been stated on our booking! Highly recommended and worth the £95 for such a lovely 5 course Christmas lunch.

Fabulous seafood in a beautifully cosy restaurant that feels intimate despite the large windows. Fantastic view of the marina and cannot fault the service. We are definitely seafood fans and this was some of the best we've had (including J Sheekey in Covent Garden) Succulent prawns, tasty mussels and the hugest crab claw I've seen... had to send it back to chef for assistance cracking it!!

Delicious food not a massive selection on the menu but certainly enough especially with a specials board too. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely position overlooking Exmouth Marina

We had heard a new chap had taken over so we decided to go for my birthday with 7 friends. On booking well in advance my husband informed them that it is my birthday and its important to have a quiet corner because i suffer real badly with tinnitus. We arrived, table set for 8 in middle of restaurant rather than in the corner where a large family were dining, their table would clearly have been more appropriate for us. Also the table was set up with 3 each side and one at each end but the tables had all the pull out bits pulled out so we all sat too far away from each other, especially the end guests couldnt speak without shouting to each other we rearranged this ourselves as the waitress didnt seem to really understand what we were saying. The food. The fish of the day, seabass I think, was amazing as was the pie, sadly i didnt order either of them, i had an aubergine thing, i love aubergines but didnt really like this, it needed some sour cream/yogurt or something , just looked like splodge and tasted like it. I also ordered the scallops which came in a sort of tasteless thin soup, not what i expected. Plum and apple crumble for dessert, cant go wrong surely!. The fruit was hard and massive. Now i know its fashionable for veg to be aldente but surely not fruit in a crumble, i actually couldnt cut it small enough with a spoon to get in my mouth it was so hard. Oh and yes, it was MY birthday...not a candle, not a chocolate, nothing... when larry re-mentioned it he was told oh we dont have any candles, end of conversation.... Happy birthday to me!

Booked this last minute when in Exmouth for one night. Did not disappoint! Lovely fresh seafood, large portions and a nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Pleasant ambience, attentive service, insightful help with the menu, a brilliant starter board, followed up with amazing main courses. As we were five folk, we ordered, as per advice from the waitress, a starter board as a meal portion, and it worked very well as a sharing platter for the five of us. All of the food was delightful. With the service charge, the price of our evening meal, with 4 G&T, two teas extra lashings of toasted baguettes, and two servings of side order veggies, worked out to about £36. We would happily go back.

Wow, so glad that a couple of other restaurants in Exmouth couldn't seat a party of 8, we were greeted at the front desk by a wonderful hostess, and shown to our tables. we had the option of placing the tables together to sit all 8, but we asked for the 4 young teens to be seated at the other side of the restaurant to help us enjoy our evening better ..???. The menu wasn't huge, but we tried a varied selection, the children's portions were huge and the burgers were delicious (as my son couldn't finish his ? chef made patty by the taste of it from prime steak. Anyways I'm waffling on, the drinks were fairly priced as was the food, the fresh fish and chips, the fantastic belly pork and the guinea fowl, all tasted great and nothing was left.. top marks. And thank you. Will visit again. Overall a fantastic dog friendly (paws on floor) restaurant, with cracking food... well done.Walkability: On the quayside.

If you have no interest in food and you’re looking to fill that void in your stomach then crack on.If you actually like the food you’re placing on your pallet then stay away. You won’t find the chef in the kitchen!Food was edible if there was nothing else to eat. Please don’t waste your money!

What could possibly be a great establishment is considerably let down by the lack of service. An establishment that offers table service only, yet slow and poor service from the waitress.Long wait for drinks, people around us had their drinks orders not placed. No real apology, just a ‘we are short staffed’Food was pleasant, although nothing to shout about for the price and then the waitress approached in the middle of eating to ask us for payment.Would not return.
