Incredible bakery! Probably a good thing we don't live in Torrington as I'd be in there daily. The variety of choice in cakes is just unreal. Always go in for just a couple of things and come out with double or triple the amount. Best sausage rolls around and the pizza slices are amazing! As a family we often will take a trip to Torrington just to go to Sandford's! ??

i cannot put into words what there pastys are like all of them are simply perfect the taste is perfection in a bag the pastry and filling so light but filling and with all the right seasoning .i have tried all pastys from all over the uk but these are the winners by far . there chocolate caramel shortcake is beautiful and the fruitcake . cant wait to come back .please keep these wonderful recipees there so perfect . thank you and please stay for many many more years and keep your wonderful lovely staff there a delight to see and speak to with all our old values in life . Any one visiting torrington make sure you go to this bakery .

Small village bakery with all the usual tempting goods but also has hot pizza,sausage rolls,bacon turn overs and pasties to take away. Need to come early as all the breads are gone. Have also just created a small area to sit n hav a coffee. Their cold sandwiches are the best but go quickly. Staff are all lovely with unique Devon banter. Not for cardio patients tho.

Love their bread and rolls. They do lots of quite innovative variants too - though I'm not very adventurous! One of two proper, old school, independent bakeries in Torrington which is blessed in these modern times when many towns only have supermarket bread.

The Best old school bakery I know highly recommended very very fresh products and the bread is the best tasting bread I've had well worth the journey from barnstaple ??

Sandford's Bakery is the best bakery around with the tastiest bread, most succulent pies and pasties and the deliciousest cakes and buns. They also do lovely picnics. Do treat yourself if in Torrington. They always have such a huge selection of the freshest goods on offer that there is sure to be something to tempt you. It is a favourite with us locals which tells you everything! Highly recommended.

If you like quality freshly baked items from breads to pizza, pasties, and sweet buns, cakes, and doughnuts then this is the place for you.It's one of the best of its kind and a place that I will be returning to many times.I especially liked the bargain shelf which sells yesterday's items at a hugely reduced price. Love a bargain, me!

We have been coming to Torrington on holiday for the last three years and found this gem of a bakery. We have been to many but Sandfords is just amazing. We go in to buy a few pastries and savourys but leave with at least two carrier bags full. I was always a Greggs sausage roll girl but Sandfords ones are the best ever, and theie Bread is just gorgeous. Please open one in Somerset.
