Just come back from our Christmas meal with The North Devon Torrington Volunteers. The food was tasty. The service was excellent would recommend. They even changed the Christmas menu for me I am fussy.

Ordered a Sunday lunch to take away.. very very popular with eating in & take away. Book, order essential we were told & can see why. Excellent landlady, order drink once, remembered thereafter.. traditional old fashioned pub vibe ? Food was excellent & plenty if it.

Typical pub. Staff welcoming and spot on. Well looked after. We went for the curry evening (Wednesdays) which many of the locals attend. Price was very reasonable and the meal was tasty.Two big TVs for sports.

We've just had a Sunday Roast here and it was absolutely delicious. We chose pork from a choice of three meats . The pork was cooked to perfection and is served on a plate along with a Yorkshire pudding and crackling. The rest of the vegetables are served separately and you get a good selection including roast potatoes, peas, carrots, swede, cheesy mash with cabbage and mini potatoes. It also comes with a separate jug of gravy.The staff here are extremely friendly and welcoming. It has a very nice atmosphere.

Great Sunday lunch. Excellent food, massive portions (maybe a bit too much even), good value for money, friendly staff and friendly locals. Quick service even though it was Mother's Day and packed out.

Came for a Sunday lunch and it was amazing! An unbelievable amount of food with super friendly staff. The pricing was also incredibly good! Even fully catered for our vegetarian and vegan friends. Would highly recommend.

An amazing roast and extremely reasonable. The roast beef was cooked to perfection and filled the plate. Separate dishes of vegetables and potatoes, and piping hot. Staff very pleasant and nothing too much trouble.
