Found by accident but glad we did. Sweet little place selling decent coffee and homemade cakes. I've pinned this on my Googke maps so that we can find it again.

Visited early November on a damp breezy day and I was surprised with the number of people doing the same thing. It is an oasis on the Tarka Trail, Suatrans route 3/27. Open Winter months on Saturday and Sunday, 10-4, and I think all Summer every day. A limited but varied menu with daily specials, I think even the most hard to please wouldn't be able to find something that would tempt them. I've visited before, I visited today, and I'll visit again. Recommended. ?

It has been many years since our last visit to Yarde Cafe and after cycling from Meeth, we arrived with a healthy appetite. Fortunately we managed to get our food order just in time and then sat back in the delightful orchard, basking in the autumn sunshine. Food was very delicious. We opted for the vegetatrian pesto with mozzarella and sun dried tomatoes in a warm baguette and accompanied by a dressed salad and tortilla chips. Went down an absolute treat. Definitely worth a visit.

Been here 2 weeks running... Fantastic food, reasonably priced, friendly attentive staff! Perfect for cyclists/walkers, being on the Tarka trail, a gem hidden in plain sight xWalkability: Unbelievable views toward Dartmoor.

What a wonderful discovery! A lovely friendly cafe right on the tarka trail. Friendly staff and tasty food, able to accommodate different dietary needs, and even some doggy treats. We will be back ?

If you're heading out on the Tarka Trail from Torrington, this is a welcome respite after the endless hill (well more a gradual slope)Friendly staff, lovely food and even a twinned toilet or two

Good stop for a bite to eat and refreshments on our cycle today. Busy midday, to be expected, but service still excellent and food arrived quickly. Warmed bread baguettes with a good small side salad and tortilla.

This is a review of the Yarde Orchard Cafe which is located on the Tarka Trail & so is perfect for a drink & food at the end of the walk. There are inside & outside tables so the cafe is great for kids & dogs. The only thing to be aware of with the outside tables is that the seating area is next to an orchard so busy with wasps in the summer. The food is simple & tasty. The prices v reasonable. The staff are really helpful & friendly. This is an autism friendly cafe.

Popped in to this delightful cafe again for a quick bite. Good friendly service, tasty food and great location for cyclists and walkers as its right on the Tarka Trail. Will definitely be visiting again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

We walked from the Holiday Park along the Tarka Trail to this café. Good choice of food and drinks on the menu. The food was well presented and tasty. Vincent and the team made our group of 8 very welcome on a wet and windy day.

Saw this cafe on DevonOnline some time ago so put it into my list of places to visit when in the area. We went last week and had tea and cake. I had their apple cake and the other half had lemon cake and they were to die for. Very, very tasty. All washed down with a nice strong mug of tea. A very pleasant, relaxing hour sitting in their orchard in the sunshine watching the birds feed. We will be back in the near future to sample more of their food.

Cycled all the way from Bideford to East Yarde on a brilliant afternoon in Bank Holiday week, only to find the cafe closed at 1515. No indication on Google as to the opening hours. Cycled back to Torrington only to miss the cafe there being open at 1602. Obviously, North Devon is not interested in tourism or business. Good job we were carrying water and snack bars.
