Drove 6 hours to get to the area. For a pie like that, I'd have happily have driven another 6 hours. The welcome and level of customer exceeds even that.

Been here a few times with friends. This is one of the nicest pubs I have been in. The inside is very warm and beautifully decorated, there is a wood burner fire which is a great touch and makes the whole place cozy and warm. One of the times we went on Sunday for a Sunday roast. There was plenty of meats on the menu each arriving with its own sauce. The meat was incredibly done and the vegetables were done very well. The other time we came for pie night, where there was a selection of homemade meat pies that are served with a puff pastry top. Both times the only conversation on the table was about how good the food was.The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. It feels more like your eating at a friends house then in a pub because of the overall friendliness of the staff combined with the warm and home like Interior.

Great food in this exceptional pub, family get together vegans and veggies all well catered for. The service was very attentive and everyone enjoyed a great roast dinner with all the trimmings…would definitely recommend especially for Sunday roast.

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious Sunday Roast during our 2 night stay at this wonderful old Devon Pub. The interior space is magical, decked with hundreds of fairy lights and capped off by a roaring fire. Great tasting food and generous portions. The husband and wife team welcome everyone and make you feel special. We stayed in their recently opened ground floor apartment. A lot of thought has gone into equipping the impressive space which comes with all mod cons. We were only able be there for 2 nights but would happily return for a (much) longer stay. It's a Ten out of Ten for me!

We went for a meal on a Saturday night. Both hosts were extremely polite and courteous and the food was fresh and absolutely delicious. We ate the small plates an... additional bonus that much if it is how grown. One of the best meals we have had in a while and very reasonably priced.Food & drinks: Delicious and great value

Been here twice, each time had a lovely time! The staff are very lovely, the man behind the bar was very polite, the younger waitress was lovely to deal with and the lady cooking in the back always smiled when walking past. The food is absolutely lovely and presented very well, drinks are fairly priced, we had a double date situation going on and both of the couples were going to have a brownie desert to share so without saying anything they brought us the dishes with a little extra on it to make it easier to share! What place do you ever go to does that! The interior is very nicely decorating with fairy lights everywhere and homey feel to the place, really allowing you to relax as soon as you sit down.Couldn’t recommend this place enough, great atmosphere, service and food.

We stumbled across The Molesworth Arms searching for somewhere for a birthday meal after a day on the beach. It didn't disappoint. The food was really well thought through, interesting and very tasty. There wasn't a crumb left on our table at the end! Very friendly owners and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Husband and wife team make your experience special here. Very friendly and attentive even when busy. Menu creative tasty dishes of local produce cooked or raw and seasoned just right. They were happy to remove chilli flakes and instead serve in a dish so we could flavour to individual taste. A real joy to experience. Tips go to the one person helping serve. Loved it. Thank you.

Booked for our anniversary while holidaying in Devon after reading the reviews. Was not disappointed. The hosts were really welcoming and spent time chatting to us. The food was lovely and fresh and the highlights were the venison and lamb mains and potatoes with garlic and rosemary.

We had a lovely stay. Room was very clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The courtyard garden and balcony gave it a special feel. The hosts were charming, very attentive without being obtrusive. Food in the bar and breakfast was delicious and plenty to choose from on the menu. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a little bit of luxury in a quiet village, not too far from yhe sea.

Found by chance online, called not expecting to get a table but were fitted in at 6.15pm. On arrival to the beautiful restaurant we were greeted by the lovely Kit (owner) who talked us through the menu. Because I’m greedy and because two of the starters sounded so nice I ordered both the mushroom & truffle arancini balls and homegrown courgette flowers stuffed with ricotta, mint, lemon zest & chilli flakes, my partner ordered the home smoked salmon mousse, all three were fresh and delightful. For mains we opted for the Moroccan lamb, sea bass and pasta for our daughter, with perfectly cooked broccoli and small roast potatoes with feta. Half way through the meal Monique (owner) came to speak to us as well, which is always a lovely touch. To follow I had the sticky toffee pudding! This place is an absolute triumph, we only wish we lived closer as it would become a regular dining experience for our family.

One of the best meals we have ever had, in a relaxed atmosphere with genuinely attentive staff. Fully deserve the awards they have won.
