Been here a few times with friends. This is one of the nicest pubs I have been in. The inside is very warm and beautifully decorated, there is a wood burner fire which is a great touch and makes the whole place cozy and warm.One of the times we went on Sunday for a Sunday roast. There was plenty of meats on the menu each arriving with its own sauce. The meat was incredibly done and the vegetables were done very well. The other time we came for pie night, where there was a selection of homemade meat pies that are served with a puff pastry top. Both times the only conversation on the table was about how good the food was.The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. It feels more like your eating at a friends house then in a pub because of the overall friendliness of the staff combined with the warm and home like Interior.

Bradworthy Inn

Went for a meal. Very friendly staff. Excellent food. As they packed in the main bar we were taken to the function room. Just the four of us and a member of staff . Well worth a revisit when we are down in the area again

Blagdon Wharf FarmShop & Cafe

Visited today as a cyclist. Was very welcomed and accommodated. Was my friends birthday and the food we ordered was tremendous! Very fresh, locally sourced produce! Coffee was also delicious - best I’ve tasted in a very long time! Really good atmosphere and the owners are lovely people. Will be making regular visits and would highly recommend?

Food On The Go

Got a burger from their burger night and it was amazing, i had a spicy chicken burger that was proper chicken and cook amazingly. We also had a mixed grill burger that was huge and delicious. My son had the chicken loaded fries and he loved them and wants them again next week! Thank you very much.

Old Market Inn

Stayed here for a couple of days for work. Lovely warm welcome from the new owners, Seàn and Holly. The room was spacious, spotless and very peaceful. I would highly recommend this B&B.

Fish and chips bakery

The quaint market town of Holsworthy is where you find this lovely cafe and bakery not ruined by the hustle and bustle of big cities and big brand pricing, the staff are friendly and down to earth, the goods on offer of quality and affordable prices, many bakeries have been lost over the years but this establishment stands it's ground in the lovely Devon countryside, if you want local made food while you wait then this is the place to be.

We purchased Wessex pies at Truros food festival today. These are the best pies we have had in a long time. The meat was so tender, no fat on it at all and the pastry to die for! Highly recommend

So much has been sacrificed in the modern rush for profit that it was nice to find this good old traditional coffee shop. By traditional I mean a friendly welcome, very good coffee and tea and some lovely cakes. I sampled a Persian flapjack which was very tasty while other customers were tucking in to meals they seemed to be enjoying. The atmosphere of the place is another plus, so relaxing that you actually feel refreshed when you leave, while prices were very competitive. I just wish we had a coffee lounge like Filter Through where I come from. Well worth a visit.

Indian Ocean

Small Indian restaurant in the middle of North Devon. At busy times I expect booking is essential (less so in January!) given the seating for 20 or so.The food was good, tasty and great value. If hyper critical perhaps lacking a smidge of complex flavour. That said I would happily recommend and revisit when I am up that way again.

Looking for fish and chips we saw this place on our travels and gave it a go. Absolutely lovely. The fish was moist and white with crispy batter. The chips and curry sauce were just as good. A large lot and curry sauce for under £10....fantastic!

Stopped in for food, had the gammon and ham/turkey pie.The food was of high standard and very generous portions.The service was very welcoming and helpful, I would recommend the pub for stopping off for reasonably priced nice family style meal.

Lovely chinese! We had chips, special fried rice, chicken chow mein (was a bit odd with mushrooms in), bbq ribs, spring rolls, chicken balls, sweet and sour and bbq sauce. only complaint is that the bbq sauce was definitely not bbq flavoured at all but still nice. And would’ve preferred paying with card but couldn’t!
