Cafes in Ilfracombe

“Popped in as we were visiting Combe Martin, this was the most inviting cafe. Very pleasant staff, comfortable surroundings and the freshest ingredients. Very good portion sizes, a wealth of choice for all tastes. We were allowed to take our dog in too. I can’t recommend it enough!”

“We stumbled across this place at the end of a walk and it was so much fun! Everyone was so friendly and funny, we were quick to make new friends and find our new favourite board game. Felt like they'd opened up their front room for the community. Really recommend visiting!”

“Visited today with my husband. Chan was on her own, no other staff, and she was really brilliant. She was very friendly and as it got busy she acknowledged all and apologised for the wait. She is a real credit to herself and Costa . Thank you, Chan.X ?”

“We have had a pleasant stay at Hidden Valley. We booked a premier pitch and did not disappoint in the size of it. The toilet and shower facilities on the meadow field are good. The water runs very hot in the showers and no pressing buttons like you get in other sites. Toilets are cleaned regularly however some campsite users do not seem to recognise how to clean up after themselves. The toilet plays the radio station and was a nice environment to get ready for the day in. The site is tidy and well kept. The bins are well organised and plent of doggy poo bins spotted around the site. It was very dog friendly and my dogs loved exploring the woodland walks. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. We have use the ‘restaurant’ (getting a drink) and food from the van multiple times. It’s a great place to sit with a cold cider and over look the lake. We used roughly £2 a day in electricity, this was with a mini heater going for drying clothes as it has been very wet. My 2 year old loved exploring the site, with its steam to explore, parks and lots of open space. I felt safe to let him have the freedom every two year old craves. It’s very simplistic and you have to make your own entertainment. We did attempt to catch the bus to Woolacombe however, it never arrived. We enjoyed visiting local places such as Illfacombe, Woolacombe, Heddon’s Gate and Barnstable.”

“I have often visited this cafe and all in all for the things that are on offer. There is plenty of space for improvment a little sad from time to time but a great little cafe.”
