I went to Johnny C's diner years ago and it was an amazing american diner. I was looking forward to visiting again but sadly it has lost all charm. The food was dissapointing and overpriced and the decor has become bland and boring.

They've completely changed and it's terrible. Extremely over-priced boring and bog standard food you can get at any other place around here. Completely and utterly ruined this once amazing restaurant. Rest in peace, Johnny C's.

JOHNNY c s dinner was a great place to go 2 when it was a 50s diner now there turning it into a bistro which will be still as vabulose as the diner was overall I'll give them 10 out of 10 for excellence ???

Ate here 2 weeks ago & the breakfast was superb. Went again today, but was very disappointed. They got my order slightly wrong, that’s not a problem & took my plate away to put right. However, my husband started eating his breakfast, the beans hadn’t been heated! I was obviously prepared for this when my breakfast came back. They’d replaced the hash brown with Chips - they were hot but the rest of the food was only slightly warm, eggs had almost gone solid. The sausages weren’t the same & didn’t taste right. I left mine but the hubby doesn’t like wasting food, ate mine & now has a stomach upset ? think we’ll steer clear of Johnny c’s!!!

From the outside, this doesn't look much. But the food was delicious, massive portions. The waitress said the pancakes were the size of my daughter's head....we didn't believe her, but she was right ?.They had a good selection of food and drinks. Will definitely be back.

Popped in here on a rainy day in Ilfracombe. Massive portion sizes and exceptionally tasty. My son had a three pancake stack which he struggled to finish. His milkshake was a proper milkshake - very substantial. Wife and I had wraps - one between us would have been plenty. Great playlist on in the background too. Would definitely recommend.

Overpriced and I live in London..£55 for breakfast for 4. Pancakes are bland they charge additional £2.50 for 2 slices of bacon and extra £1.50 for syrup, Place seems tired and in need for an update. I went because the reviews was positive but I was personally very disappointed even the table In front of us said pancakes were nothing special for the price charged.

Went there this week and last for spicy chicken-y stuff, good service from Lucy, the fake-blonde waitress who is hotter and sweeter than the chilli sauce she brought over with a smile. Also served by owner's son who is very entertaining on his father's ,er... adventures. Food was tasty, good quality and portions, fries and coleslaw were free with my order.
