Had great night here proper pub, live band , great staff. I didn't eat but plenty of people did so must be good.

This is a dog-friendly pub not far from the harbour, that does sirloin steak with chips & peas for under £15. They had sold out of the pork and the fish pie by 7pm, hence the steak. There were 3 tables eating, but it was 40 minutes before the steak arrived, by which time I'd finished my pint of Thatcher's Gold and my wife, her Stella. But we were in a hurry!

We have been there a year ago and felt it's gone downhill. It has a limited menu and the pininis are bland and over priced. One of the real ales tasted of vinegar and had to be thrown away. The other was just ok. Inside the pub wasn't particularly inviting.

We had to wait 50 minutes for our meal with no warning. When it came it was probably one of the worst meals I have had. No cheese in my ham and cheese omelette, very soggy chips and the sausages were pretty disgusting. There was no apology from the landlord.

An historic pub with food - but somehow lacks atmosphere.Seems lacklustre compared to its immediate neighbour - another historic pub.

We came across this place by chance. Looking for a nice Sunday Roast we found this place and thought we would try it. As I am a coeliac I enquired if they could accommodate me and the owner was very knowledgeable and happy to help. His wife was the chef and she was able to sort everything out including a lovely gluten free Yorkshire pudding We ate in the lovely beer garden out the back and were very happy with the meal. Certainly worth a visit

A group of around 10 of us stumbled upon this lovely little pub, hoping for a good night out in IlfracombeThe landlord soon advised that we would be stuck there due to transportation issues after a certain time and even attempted to see if he could arrange a taxi for us allWe stayed for a few drinks and a few games of poolThe landlord was very accommodatingDrinks prices are very reasonableThe pub has so much charmIf you are in Ilfracombe, you really should pop inI hope this Pub will be there for many more years to comeThanks for having usThe stagg party in kilts

Great traditional friendly pub. We both ordered Sirloin Steak and Chips and it was cooked exactly as we requested (medium rare) and was reasonably priced. Very much a locals pub but very welcoming to all. It is also very dog friendly.

Went here last Friday and the food was very tasty, will definitely be back again ?
Me and my boyfriend came across here friday night and thought we'd grab dinner. The food was amazing! I had the chicken souvlaki which was on the specials board which runs along side the main menu. My boyfriend had the lasagne and chips and we both were really impressed. Big portions and all cooked fresh. Reccommend highly for some great pub food in a cozy yet lively environment.

Ancient pub with an enclosed wishing well inside. An unusual L shaped layout and a lovely atmosphere. Smiling happy staff and some good live music

Good traditional pub, one of the only ones to allow kids, dogs, and have a pool table. It even has a dart board. Football is shown to which is a bonus, and drinks aren’t too expensive either.
