“As for recommendations , well it’s just a yes! Tonight I had the best steak that I’ve ever had and that’s anywhere between Scotland and Lands End. So accommodating with reference to intolerances. I have Celiac and also a lactose intolerance and felt that the The First and Last Bistro were extremely accommodating,nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to come back.”

“We went to the Imperial for a birthday meal. We arrived, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly, welcoming, and polite. They sorted out drinks and showed us to our table. I don’t think we even looked at the menu. We were drawn to their specials board, where I think this pub makes such a difference. We went when they had burgers on special offer, and my goodness, they were out of this world. There’s no chance you could eat them with your hands. Decent portions and quality food. The pub was very busy inside and out, but they didn’t let their service drop. A spot-on little pub with huge character. Highly recommended to anyone wanting simple but spot-on pub grub.”

“We have been staying at the Caravan Club site just outside Modbury. Ate here tonight. Absolutely fantastic food, very helpful and accommodating staff. Couldn’t do enough. Highly recommend!!!! Also very dog (and child although we didn’t have any) friendly.”

“Popped in on the way to Salcombe, what a fantastic find!! Had a couple of beers and I had a steak sandwich whilst my mate had Bubble & Squeak, both of which we enjoyed, my steak was perfect, which if I'm all honest I was sure whether to pick, but, was effortless to eat, side of crisps as well. Very friendly staff, chatty etc, it was quiet when we arrived as around 3, or just before, but I can imagine this would be quite lively especially if the food is to go on. Definatley visit again if I pass, but would recommend it”
