Ryan was phenomenal - cool calm and collected, was very helpful and took the time. Recommended a perfectly quiet table and helped us decide on some brilliant food which was thoroughly enjoyed, would recommend a thousand times Thank you Ryan
Have had two great meals here, a beautifully prepared lemon sole, and a mound of tasty mussels. Convivial atmosphere, and friendly helpful servers like Ryan.
Rooms: The room is very comfortable and felt very at home
Food and drinks: We both had mussels as a main and they were so plump and delicious, very nicely presented and satisfying.
Noteworthy details: The service in all respects has been excellent, Brian and Josh, the two waiters we had were excellent, very polite, efficient and attentive.
Lovely cosy pub. Staff are great and reallt accommodating for my children.
Only stopped for coffee, but it's a lovely place, and I would like to stay here. There's more to see than I could fit into 2 hours
Lovely old pub with oak beams, etc. Nice looking rooms, and even when busy, you can normally find a seat, parking is a bit of a problem though.
A very pleasant evening.
Very friendly, courteous and helpful service from Ryan and Izzy, along with generous portions.
We will return.
Long wait for food and not offered dessert until 40 mins after finishing the main course when on the point of leaving. Not offered further drinks or water. Food ordered well presented and tasty.
Superb evening meal: good food, relaxing atmosphere and above all really professional service from our young waiter who had just the right balance between efficiency and friendliness. As locals we may well be back.

Really nice old town quirky places, room was really big
August 6-7 Enjoyable break, Comfortable room, breakfasts good, Nice pub, good choice of beers. Perfect location for travelling to Exeter. Parking to unload can be a problem in the day time. Holman Way Car Park is a good choice as you can walk via the rear of the pub and it’s a short distance. We would stay again.
Beautiful room at reasonable price! Dinner was amazing! Emily was a brilliant waitress! 100 per cent recommend for a little get away
Food wasn’t good, but Josh was great (we love you Josh) :)
