Just back from a fabulous 5 course surprise tasting menu at Twenty Seven. It was a fantastic meal - every course was delicious. We had the wine flight too and drank some excellent and very reasonably priced wines. The service was very professional and friendly. Only 3 stars on atmosphere because sadly the restaurant was quite empty - but it is a miserable February midweek night. So glad we ventured out to eat such a great meal.

We'd been recommended a meal here so had high expectations...but The Journeys End certainly exceeded these!Given we had eaten the previous night at a certain upmarket island hotel, the food here was just as good and definitely more plentiful! From the wonderfully spiced fresh smoked mackerel, to an awesome bowl of authentic Thai noodles to the best mussels and chips ever- oh my goodness those chips are to die for! Rounded off with an epic local cheese platter that took us several sittings to finish.But not only was the food outstanding, the pub itself was so full of character and we had such a warm welcome we found the excuse to pop in for another pint of superbly well kept beer the next day too and learnt about the friendly residents ghosts ?!Will definitely be a must for a repeat visit next time we're back in this neck of the woods.Parking: Parking I'd just up the road, a short walk but plenty of space

Bigbury Bay Pizzas

Some of the best pizzas we have ever had! We chose Bigbury Bay Pizzas for our wedding at Mount Folly Farm last summer, and everyone loved them! They provided around 40 pizzas for our guests in the evening - all were brought out promptly and were absolutely delicious. Thank you Helen and Peter!

Stayed a week in Kingsbridge, close to the Seven Stars. It's a lovely friendly pub, serving a good range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Great food too, and service from the staff was excellent, also dog friendly. Top notch bar and restaurant.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I felt this was warranted, considering the recent reviews.We placed our order in advance, to be delivered on New Year’s Eve. We ordered a vegetarian and vegan pizza with a side of garlic bread, curly fries and potato wedges.The meal was delivered at exactly 8pm, very impressive considering we are a good 20 mins drive from Kingsbridge. The delivery person was absolutely lovely.The food was hot and appetising.We were really impressed with the food. The pizza’s were loaded with toppings, fresh and non greasy.The sides were on par with any other pizza establishment we have had and it was nice to have the option of curly fries ( haven’t had them in years).Overall a really lovely meal. We will be ordering again.Vegetarian options: Good selection of vegan / vegetarian options. Most pizza can be made vegan by subbing mozzarella with vegan mozzarella and faux meat.Vegan options are clearly labelled on the online menu.

Went for our first meal as a family at the pub and our expectations were exceeded. The food was delicious! My brother and I have severe allergies and the Charleton is amazing at dealing with them, they ensure we eat tasty, flavourful meals which we can safely eat (which sadly is not the norm as 'plain' food is normally the go to). Lou is incredibly kind and so are the rest of the team. By far our favourite dinner we have eaten out in a long time. Would recommend this lively pub to anyone who wants top quality food with a pub atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more. We have eaten in many restaurants in the area and this one is definitely our new favourite. I didn't take any pictures of the main course as it looked so nice we started eating straight away, but I got a few pictures of the puddings which my parents loved.

This establishment deserves a michelin Star ? If not indeed several !I’ve eaten there a couple of times and the food is incredible You can’t believe you’re just in a little pub in the beach!! The atmosphere the staff …everything’s just perfect .They allow well behaved dogs which gives it more atmosphere too.Also I regularly take and collect clients in my Taxi and they are always extremely happy with their visitI highly recommend this place to all my taxi clients ,visitors and locals and thought I ought to put it here for the wider community .If your coming to South Devon Book at a table here before you come as they get super busy ??
