On a rainy February half term lunch time we were transported to a relaxed, bright environment with welcoming staff and outstanding food. Incredible value for a fantastic foodie experience that is hard to come by in the South Hams.

Lovely 14th Century inn, on a secluded, narrow road. Some subtle changes over the years, but still retains the fundamental cosiness of a small, local pub. Good selection of beers. Adequate seating inside, but plenty of seating in the tiered garden areas that overlook the village. Good chat with the landlord, landlady and friendly locals. Small car park.

Lovely busy restaurant. Great food and generous portions. The staff were very friendly and attentive even when they were busy. Look forward to visiting again. The mezze are must to start off with.

A really nice restaurant. The food was freshly made before our eyes in the open kitchen and was very tasty. Spice adjustable to taste. The staff were friendly and attentive. Loved the use of light strings in the 80s tiled ceiling.

The use is organic local meat is great, but this obviously means it can seem a little pricier than one might immediately expect. Worth it though.

Went for Sunday Lunch, sign on the door said “food bookings full this weekend “ that tells you how good this was going to be. And we weren’t disappointed, huge portions, perfectly cooked and we could have had more roast potatoes and vegetables if we wanted them. Tucked away in the village, no wonder people visit this place. Excellent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Popped in on the off chance of a table for 5 (not always the easiest to accommodate without booking ahead!). Landlord was very accommodating and friendly (including to the dog who loved the treats!). Delicious food, family and pet friendly, clean, cosy and would go back again if not 200+ miles from home.

Where do I start?! The coffee is fantastic and the smoothies are fabulous! They’re consistent in their ingredients so you know what to expect every time. This is what makes this cafe great, it’s a hard thing to master, the best cafes in the world know that success is about consistency.

The owner is always there with a smile to greet you, as are her other members of staff who are always polite and calm. The cakes are occasionally made by her very talented daughter - who may I say is a real credit to FIKA because they are DELICIOUS and look worthy of a cake magazine!

What I do want to mention though, and I’m sure this isn’t always the case, other customers can be very impatient and stand close to you in the queue, this is nothing to do with the business I know. One diner yelled at the lady behind the counter and demanded “how long are my scrambled eggs going to be”. I was gobsmasked at such behaviour from a grown adult.. my two children would be better behaved than this. But as I’m learning, this is common practice by the locals here in Kingsbridge. But I have to say, the girl behind the counter took it on her chin and responded very calmly and professionally! Hats off to you at FIKA for all of your hard work! You are fantastic! And loved by so many! ?☺️☀️✨

Fantastic pub, gorgeous setting, friendly staff, the food was absolutely top notch. I had the seafood pancake - delicious, husband had lemon sole. Crispy chips, tasty samphire. Free parking, coast walk before and after. Open on a Monday, it was perfect for our day out. Thank you.
