Our first time dining out on Christmas Day, well worth the extra cost, really well organised, every care taken to make sure you had a first class experience. The meals were pre-ordered, and there was plenty of choice for adults, and a separate children's menu also with choices. The decorated tables were nicely spaced out so that it was your space as a group. The food was well cooked and absolutely delicious, and the portions were enormous, just as well with my family. The children's portion was big enough for most adults! We asked for a box to take home some of the children's meal, too good to waste. Gerald and his team were fantastic, friendly,professional and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to everyone at the Barn Owl, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

This is instantly my new favourite place to eat for those moments when you need a really good quality Sunday roast after a walk on Dartmoor. Everything was delicious, the pub was atmospheric, the staff were really friendly, the answer was always 'yes' and there were no annoying rules like 'we stop serving at 4pm'. We will go back many times I'm sure!

A group of 16 ramblers enjoyed lunch after a ramble around Bradley Woods on a sunny autumn morning. We had pre ordered, though getting a readable menu in advance was an issue. Within a short time, all the meals arrived so we could eat together. Every plate looked very appetising. Lovely service too. Excellent value. This is a really welcoming English pub with good food, efficient and friendly staff, very clean loos too!

After a wonderful weekend we wanted it finish it off with a roast. The Barn Owl Inn was wonderful from the staff to the meal. We had the 3 meat roast was one of the best. The service was great from everyone who served us.

We visit here when we come to Devon on holiday and we love it ,once again a warm welcome and some amazing food ,my favourite is the fish & chips the chef here certainly knows how to cook fish perfectly also the staff are very friendly & helpful.

My husband and I have never been here before, even though we live locally, but I can assure you it'll be a new regular favourite. The food was stunning, the service was exceptional and the small details made all the difference. We booked online last minute for our anniversary, we made a note of this on booking and when we arrived our table was decorated with balloons and we were offered complimentary desserts. Unfortunately we did decline as we were so full and the food so delicious we didn't want to ruin the flavour but the thought and touch was so lovely we will be sure to keep coming back. Thank you to everyone that made us feel some welcome. We look forward to seeing you again soon and showing you off to our nearest and dearest. We have nothing but positives to take away from our experience at The Barn Owl

We visit regularly for either drinks or food and have never had a bad experience. All of the staff are lovely and welcoming with each visit and are always quick to take to your order. The food is lovely and the menu has choices for everyone. A great location and is run exceptionally!
