I had the sausage, mash, Yorkshire and onion gravy followed by the berry crumble and custard , I didn’t have to wait long for food which was hot and well presented and very reasonably priced. The staff were so friendly asked if everything was ok, is there anything else they could do for me. Over all I would definitely go here again, a lovely cosy country pub with beautiful garden, children’s play area and outdoor heated sitting areas. They are dog friendly and allow britstop to stay for a night in the car park . There is an outdoor water tap.

Lovely old pub serving classic pub food. We went for lunch after a run event and ordered burgers and pie which absolutely hit the spot. The crumble and custard for dessert was the cherry on top! The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the pub has plenty of parking.

It was the perfect place to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with her friends for a very delicious dinner and cozy atmosphere. We were sat upstairs at the lounge end and it felt like a VIP section as we had the space all for ourselves. The food was amazing and portions very generous. The service was brilliant. Will definitely come back with the girls again and again

Been here several times with friends and family, it's my go to place as the food is consistently good, somethings are better than others but it's to your personal taste, you'll not be disappointed.The staff are lovely, friendly, polite and helpful and the owners are lovely.There's always a nice atmosphere and you are made very welcome, a lovely pub in nice surroundings.Plenty of space to park.Would definitely recommend.Thank you to all the staff.

Foods bang average but definitely not a bad scran, it’s pub grub for pub price! Perfect for a little Tuesday night. Atmosphere is lovely, have a few drinks with the misses and head home for a movie. Service was superb and staff friendly as can

We went to the star for a family Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve, it was the worst dinner we’ve had for a long time . It was cold, the parsnip were that hard you couldn’t cut through them, roast potatoes weren’t roast they been boiled then fried nothing on the plate had seen any seasoning. The service wasn’t much good they were serving pudding before clearing away the main course plates. I wouldn’t recommend the star for a roast dinner ..

We were brought crayons and colouring in for the kids which was a lovely touch.
