Woodland, Ashburton, Newton AbbotWe recently discovered this place and it is now a firm favourite. It's a real hidden gem. The food is delicious and really reasonably priced. It is a family friendly pub and I never feel uncomfortable bringing my children here, they both say that the scampi here is the best they've ever had. The beer garden looks large and spacious, can't wait for the nicer weather to be able to enjoy it.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my compliments for the exemplary service.
Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, who ensured we were satisfied. We found the complete experience to be exceptional. The meals were well presented and very enjoyable and not overly expensive, The staff/owners are to be commended for their professionalism and the care they provided to ensure we had a very pleasant meal (table 6) . They were very upbeat and cheerful and polite and along with the restaurant chef for the exceptional meals should be given the highest praise. We will add this to our bucket list of places to visit again

Welcome Stranger
Liverton, Newton AbbotJust off the duel carriageway and behind Trago Newton Abbot. The food and service was excellent. Huge portions reasonable price, loads for the kids to do and a good selection of drinks for the adults. A real hidden gem in my opinion.
