A Sunday lunch to die for We booked a table at this establishment and we were late arriving as they stop serving food at 2.30 but it was no problem to the guy behind the bar, the roast was excellent I had the lamb and my partner had tge roast beef, both meals were superb and good value, the staff were very friendly to us being 1st time visitors to the pub 10/10 all round

Short stop for dinner during our travel.Really good burgers and beer. Had Lager and Ale.Very nice lady behind the bar.We had Staker burger and Lamb burger.Both came with chips and salad. We could change to cheesy fries and it was no problem.Really like it here.

Excellent quality produce breakfast cooked well, served by the barman who was chatty and friendly, would definately recommend. Also cheaper and better than the offering at Spoons across the road where we were staying well done guys.

A rather tired boozer, in a corner of town, a couple of ales to keep you occupied, there is lively chatter around the pool table in the bar area, the quieter lounge has a small number of tables.

Haven't been going there long, but should have a long time ago. Great pub, great staff, great food (wife says) and they do marvellous service to the local community, what could be better?! Dog friendly

Had the seafood platter off the specials menu and it was cooked so perfectly. Better than I've had in much more expensive seafood restaurants as it wasn't overcooked tough and rubbery. It was lovely. Other half enjoyed his London stacker burger too and the dog ate what we couldn't as we were so full!
Nice pub in the centre of town, easy to find and readily available parking.Visited in the mid afternoon during a few days in the area and wanted to find somewhere to have a quick bite to eat and drink.The staff are very friendly and were very kind in helping determine what food to order. The food was prepared very quickly, including the homemade pie, which was quite tasty and filling, and came with mash and peas. The pulled pork and beef burger was also nice and came with chunky chips and salad.The atmosphere was decent. They also have games, books, and a pool table in the back room available for patrons to play for a charge, I assume.The pub is also pet friendly as upon entry there were some dogs having a sleep which was really nice and added to the family feel of the pub.Parking: Plenty of parking available.

Really lovely young lady behind the bar, polite, helpful and friendly.We ordered food from the specials board, lamb rendang and were not disappointed. Decent size portions of really delicious food.Definitely a place to visit more often

Food is always amazing, local meats and better than any fast food, better than Spoons, way better.The Mrs had stacker burger, she gave me 1 of the burgers as she don't eat 2. I had the full breakfast, no mushroom or blood pudding for me, I paid for an extra sausage instead. Then little boy had chips, chips are spot on, nice chunky chips. I had some of them as well so the breakfast looks different in my pic to one that you would get with no changes.Price wise, well I'm more than happy, think it's amazing food for the cost and the device is super friendly.Give it a go, I'd be very surprised if you wasn't happy.
