A very traditional tea room. Just what's needed after a walk on Dartmoor.

Lovely little quirky tearoom. We were staying in the house on the green opposite so literally a one minute walk for us. We had prebooked as we were a party of 13, the day before I had dropped in some napkins and table decorations and the owner kindly put them on our table as a surprise for my mums 80th birthday. Scones were freshly made, at least four different types of homemade jams and clotted cream, nothing was too much trouble. The gluten and dairy free member of our party was also well catered for and had a choice of scone, cake or flapjack. Lots of maps and historical information dotted around. Would highly recommend if ever in this beautiful part of the country.

Lovely historic tea rooms, great service and a welcome break on your walk around north Dartmoor, don’t forget to checkout the animal pound just outside

Brilliant dog and ♿wheelchair friendly café, + the pop up photographic exhibition proved very interesting. I'd seen some of the London Tramp band previously, and the Neolithic stones I'd stood alongside during many Cornish jaunts prior to the ♿. Fab photos. We we're here on Coronation Day and had an excellent afternoon tea with delicious home-made scones. We think everything is made on a charity basis, extremely friendly people and you can sit in the churchyard with good weather. Highly recommend!

Found this little gem of a place today. Absolutely fantastic. Was a very bitterly cold day and a log fire burning was very welcome and warming as was the lady and young lady that were running it. Had tea for the three of us and cake. The lemon drizzle cake was divine, so moist and very lemony. Prices were very good. Nice to go somewhere that is so welcoming, not crowded with too many tables. Some great things for sale too. Can't wait to pop back for a cream tea on a nice warm day. Thank you xx

I'm a regular. Always a great range of home made cakes. Very amenable owner doing her very best to cater for all. Gluten free, non dairy milk and so on. Lovely cosy wood burner. Feels simple and local.
