I booked a last family meal before I left the country for good as we all love steak it seemed like the perfect place, however I had eaten here once before and didn’t like the steak on a rock concept especially since I had to cook my own steak (if I wanted to do that then I would do it at home) so I politely asked if we could have our steaks cooked and put on plates instead. Personally I didn’t think it was a big ask but apparently it was, as from that moment on we were spoken to like idiots and told that their way of cooking the meat on a stone was in fact the best way of cooking it!! I didn’t have the heart to tell the very rude boy that I was a chef so I bit my tongue. We were served our steaks on plates in the end and the food was good however the rude and arrogant service kept coming for the rest of the evening which in fact tainted the whole experience. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless you enjoy being treated and spoken to like scum.

Excellent family meal, for 12, for a 40th Birthday. Including a Gluten free & 2 vegetarian meals, all catered for very well. All food excellent, arrived hot and at the same time. Allowed us to bring & serve a "special birthday cake", very attentive and caring staff. Thank you all

Found this gem of a place 2nd day of holiday all I can say is the best Sunday carvery I have ever had steak was 8oz rib eye hubby was 16oz ribeye both came on separate stones was able to have to our liking AMAZING staff fantastic very knowledgeable and present nothing was too much trouble excellent must try

Visited twice during a week getaway in Torquay (we stayed at Devon Hills)Absolutely fantastic food, incredible service, warm and welcoming.Considering visiting for sunday carvery. only a 3hr drive away.

Eaten here many times, and booked in to eat again next week! Best steaks ever! Lovely carvery on Sunday! The salads not bad either! :) Staff are fab, welcoming and friendly. One on my absolute fave restaurants and have recommended to friends who have been and loved it too!

Booked a meal here for my daughters birthday on the 28th of November 2023. What can I say, a superb meal and great service from everyone. Even had happy birthday sung to my daughter. I had the 8 oz rib eye steak and sides and i was full at the end!! I don't know how the people manage to finish the challenges. Would definitely recommend!!
Popped in for dinner and wowI have eaten at similar in London but never with a lava rock, that thing does not cool down for ages which means I was able to consistently cook my pieces of steak to perfection. I'm always nervous about going to new places, but we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome! From the front of house crew the management and our waitress Alisha. I had a steak and my son had a tomahawk the rest of our party had chicken and burgers. The steak was the best I've ever had - the quality was amazing and we never had to wait for anything, everyone was so attentive. Thankyou so much we will be back x

Never had an experience where you cook your own steak on a hot stone, such an ace idea! I had the 16oz rump steak with the side salad. The homemade coleslaw was gorgeous and the quality of the steak was sublime, as a northerner extra points for having strong bow darkfruits! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
