“we stayed in Paignton in 2024 & had a meal in here. The food was amazing, the staff maybe 'Saline' & 'James' are so friendly & welcoming, do anything to help you enjoy your visit. over 40 dishes to choose from the buffet aswell as many dessert options, all included in the eat as much as you can eat! We are staying at Devoncliffs this week but decided to drive to Paignton to revisit. Arrived at 5 for opening, by half 5 the tables were filled & it is clear to see why!”

The prices here were so good and much better value than the Chinese’s in Torquay

I have to say it was a fantastic Chinese I went for special fried rice it was bang on Crispy beef in sauce absolutely perfect nice and crispy and the sauce was lovely and a sweet and sour Hong Kong style and again perfect too

The team here work hard to provide a good service to its customers and the food is absolutely excellent so I’ve decided this is my new favourite Chinese and I will have no issue driving from Torquay to Paignton to collect

“As always, absolutely flawless, easy saturday night in dinner, i've been enjoying golden dragon's excellent food for almost two decades to my memory now, and when i'm low on energy and craving food that makes me feel happy and satisfied, this is my place to go, i can never get enough of the chicken balls and the egg fried rice, and absolutely love the special chow mein with sauce, just fantastic.”

“Super, super friendly lady behind the counter. Really enjoyed talking to her and she was so kind and nice. I think we talked for maybe 10 - 15 minutes when I went to collect my order.

Food was good, not too oily and very tasty. Good portion size and a lot of options available also on the menu.

Hopefully we can eat here again next time we come over from Belgium ?

Parking: We parked right outside the take away but I imagine during busy periods there may be less parking, this isn’t a fault of the business however and just due lack of general parking in the area.”

“Don’t let any negative reviews sway or influence your decision to go to or use Alan’s restaurant and takeaway. The food is excellent. If you have lived in average market towns in central England over the last 25 year or so years and tried to find a good Chinese takeaway you will know exactly what I am talking about. We ordered a range of dishes and they were fresh, light, well cooked, with lovely flavours. You would have to go a long way to find better.”
