My go to coffee spot in Plymouth! The staff are always lovely and full of energy and the general vibes are very relaxed. I try to get a different drink each time I visit and each one has been delicious, I wouldn't go anywhere else. No other coffee chain has the consistency that Coffee #1 has, you really can't go wrong.

I've been here on several ocassions & it's a very popular coffee shop. One thing that lets it down is the the bad condition of the armchairs ......Come on No.1 get them replaced they're in dire need of some serious attention!! Also the teapots are not in good condition as the one I was served with today had a badly chipped spout..... not impressed ?. Customers deserve better.

Awful service from 3 separate counter staff. First assistant was abrupt when trying to establish whether I wanted a tomato & mozzarella toastie or panini, and despite me pointing to which one, then charged me for two ( I only realised after I queried what I’d been charged). His colleague tried to belittle me when processing the refund, and I then waited about 15 minutes for them to toast it. The waitress then brought over two paninis, and was less than apologetic when I said Id only ordered one. Finally it hadn’t been toasted well! I liked the layout but won’t be going back

Lovely place to meet, but it's very noisy when busy, due to the wooden floors, maybe some rugs would help muffle the sound, but fantastic coffee and that's the main

Always a good place for coffee considering the number of other establishments in the city centre. Staff can be a bit thin on the ground first thing in the morning but are cheerful and welcoming.

Refused to give a fresh cake but were happy to serve an 'old' one. No thank you! Declined as would prefer to spend my money somewhere where customer satisfaction matters.

I requested a cake and was told I was only allowed to have cakes from the back of the cabinet as they have to use up the old cakes before the fresh ones. When I questioned this, as I often request a certain cake in cafés, I was told it was the company policy and that's all there is to it. Since I don't want to spend a large amount of money on an old cake, I declined the cake. When I raised this issue on Facebook, it seems I wasn't the first person to be told that Coffee #1 gives out their old cakes first. In addition to this, during the past year I've experienced staff ignoring me, laughing and chatting with their mates behind the counter, dumping drinks down and leaving them somewhere, without informing me and also various levels of rudeness, like today. I am not a child and I don't expect to be spoken to like one. I won't be returning.

Very tidy and clean establishment. Staff were friendly and kind, food took a while but I did arrive 10 mins before closing so it was kind of them to oblige.

I have always loved this coffee shop, but unfortunately my friend and I had a bad interaction today. The lady that was on the till was quite rushed and unhappy - I gave her my order and went to scan the app, to which she very condescendingly replied “You have to tell me you have the app”. I was taken aback because of her tone but eventually she put in my order. The exact same thing happened to my friend immediately after and the worker rolled her eyes. After my friend ordered however, she started smiling at customers and asking them if they had the app. I completely understand that people have bad days, but it should go without saying that they shouldn’t bring down those around them too.
