Ordered a delivery where Justeat stated a delay in the kitchen twice and extended delivery time. Earlier than expected the owner of the restaurant rings my gate and hands me my food way earlier than expected. This is service is exceptional! We need to support this restaurant. Food is great and service 2nd to none. Try this place it’s great. Eaten there and had this latest delivery! Note to the owner… Thank you! We will be booking again soon in the restaurant.

The food was lovely, but one meal was not hot. However, this was swiftly rectified. Will return again.

One of the best Indians I've ever had.The food was authentic, hot and delicious. The service and atmosphere was great. There were a lot of people around us with similar opinions. My girlfriend wasn't a big lover of Indian food before and I convinced her to try and after this experience she absolutely loves it and a big fan. We will definitely be coming back.

Absurdly fantastic food! Myself and my partner went in just for a takeaway, were blown away by the restaurant owners hospitality and kindness. Once we received our food, got home, demolished it for every delightful bite there was I had to leave a review and thank you owner for the suggestion of the Chicken tikka, which I will be having again after trying more of your food! We will be back!

5 of us were there Tuesday evening. The food was excellent the spices were delicious all of us thoroughly enjoyed our evening as the staff were also great. The manager even played Hey Jude by the Beatles for us at the end. We'll definitely be going back.

Do not use the booking system for this restaurant I booked a time slot on their booking page and had the booking accepted, three hours later received a text cancelling the booking! I approached the restaurant staff and was told they have no control over the booking system they also charge a booking fee! What sort of business accepts your booking to cancel three hours later will never use this restaurant.

As locals who like to be able to get a good evening meal out within walking distance of home we’d encourage any extension in the number and quality of places to eat in on Mutley Plain. We came here during its first week and the meal was OK but we got the impression that it could improve after some months of trading. We have now been back and regret that we see and taste no significant change to the food. Several cafes have come and gone in the street over the last few years, despite this being an area with a high density of students and families as well as some of Plymouth’s most affluent households. A couple have clung on but they’re not places for casual suppers. There are lots of folk like us who are always on the lookout for relaxed, tasty, good value, reliable and attractive satisfying food. Last night was a let down. We are unlikely to try again. There is a gaping hole in the local market.

Inconsistency has been mentioned in previous reviews.I concur: 4 starters and 2 mains were excellent, but chicken mowgli and butter chicken could be mistaken for desserts, cooked in a sweet korma sauce. We were offered a free meal and "near "Baileys drinks, but were bemused by such culinary mistakes.Management must take the previous 1 star reviews seriously!

We have been to the Indian Rose on 6 occasions now, most recently last night. It really is hit and miss as to how the service and food is. We have had good experiences and poor experiences. Last night we went for dinner and the service was poor despite only three tables dining in the Resturant. We had King Pawn Puri starters which have been excellent previously, last night it was poor, lack of flavour, lack of seasoning and minimal prawns. We also had a range of curries with some lacking in flavour and others over salted to the point it was not edible. The Resturant has great potential if they focus on consistency of the food and improving the service.

A very noice evening. One small critique, thought that tikka masala dish was very sweet.Seems to be heading that way in a number of restaurants now.Lighting is very modern.. May not be everyone's cup of tea.... especially if you are looking for a more intimate atmosphere. Still, variety is the spice of life.

Visited Indian Rose on the way to the cinema this evening. We were greeted by friendly staff who were happy to help. The food was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Due to being reasonably quiet, the owner even came to speak to us which was very nice. This is a great Indian restaurant and highly recommended!Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options that are of very good quality and tasty too!
