So Saturday Morning just past - our Crew from Lyme Bay Boats visited Salcombe in conjunction with The Wolf Rock Boat Company. It was hacking down not the best day for sea trials on Wolf Rocks line of boats. All was rectified when we went for Tea/ Coffee and bacon butties on their infamous granary bread - Tea : - I was asked if I’d like white milk? The two beauties serving were in pink attire … white milk … ? No I’ll have pink I replied.. The two beauties just couldn’t work it out. !!! These lovely Ladies that work at Captain Morgan’s managed to quell the rain with their cheeky gags and smiley faces .. - So a must go to place Captain Morgan is… - The Cheeky Girls … I’m going there again - it’s worth the parking ticket!!! Lots of Love to you both Jamie Lyme Bay Boats

Might want to remind the lanky man-boy who lingers behind the counter that when he rudely remarks on customers we can all hear him quite clearly. We ordered take away sandwiches (nice sausage but crap bread).. we sat down to wait for our order when the irritating skinny dude loudly says to other staff...they've ordered take away and now they're sitting down inside like we were making some big mistake.... we're we supposed to order our food and then walk away without it???? There were no other customers (unsurprisingly) so I'm not sure what he was grumbling about...I called to him we're waiting for our food but he ignored me. Food was mediocre place was a mess inside. Needless to say I won't be returning

The Food was atrocious, the smashed avocado on sour dough wasn’t presented on sour dough( although still charged for)which I wasn’t Informed of until after i received the food. When I dared question It I was told ‘no one received sourdough with their orders’ as though that was somehow acceptable. The scrambled eggs weren’t mixed correctly and were runny and vile. The price of £11 for what I received was insulting. Me and my partner agreed the service was abysmal and the food was somehow worse. The attitude of the owners was woeful and overall I’d I could rate this 0 stars I would. Foul from start to finish. I demanded a refund which I received. The blasé arrogance of the staff was as confusing as it was disappointing. The older ladies prepping the food who I believe to be the owners treated myself and others with contempt and utter disdain. The worst attempt at food service I’ve ever experienced.Mind blowing considering the location.Anyone with half a brain or a modicum of respect for the customers hard earned money could turn this pit into a gold mine.Abhorrent, avoid like the plague.

The best breakfast I’ve had for a long time, at a very reasonable price. I ordered a Captains breakfast which was delicious and too big to finish. My friend ordered the Avocado with Poached Eggs which were cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly with great service. Both our coffees were lovely. Overall I would highly recommend for a breakfast in the sun overlooking Salcombe. 5/5 stars from me.

Absolutely the worst breakfast we have ever had. Cheap eggs, no sourdough bread, no chilli flakes in the meagre spread of avocado £9, total rip off. Very rude staff member. Awful coffee. Avoid at all costs.

Very big standard food, extremely over priced. Good location.

Best brekkie in salcombe! Had 2 captains breakfast and could barely finish it was so massive. Ideal spot for breakfast before a day out on the water in sunny salcombe. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

How can you justify charging so much for sub-quality food? Is this the respect they have for their local tourism trade!?

Extremely slow service, extremely overpriced poor quality food - £8.00 for a prawn sandwich containing limp watery prawns, a small amount of lettuce and a smear of marie rose sauce. A waste of money.

Take out fish and chips rubbish poor size fish chips not fresh,an expensive experience we paid a lot went back to car opened our fish and chips, found a miserly piece of fish in both and not a lot of chips.cost of living has gone up OK but when you start to rip off visitors to Salcombe off and profiteering bet you don't do that to your regulars or your be out of business disgusted.
