Restaurants in Salcombe
Crab Shed Salcombe
Gould Rd, SalcombeGreat location opposite the boat yard, super friendly service, very knowledgeable staff and fantastic fresh scallops, mussels and crab dishes all sourced locally, finished off with a cracking chocolate tart, we're both foodies & have eaten at many restaurants but this was right up there, definitely recommend.

The Salcombe Deli
52 Fore St, SalcombeWe couldn’t find anywhere in Salcombe that was open or that we fancied for some lunch during a visit there. So when we spotted this deli, we thought we’d give it a try and have a take away instead. What a brilliant find. !!!!!! The food was exceptionally good and great value, we thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches, looking out over the harbour on a nearby bench. The gent who served us was very polite and friendly. Highly recommend.

The Salcombe Yawl
Clifton Pl, SalcombeBought a toffee, apple crumble slice (delicious and melted in the mouth) and flat white for the drive to Dartmouth. Both were great! There’s also a nice viewpoint just next to this lovely small cafe.

Salcombe Coffee Company
73 Fore St, SalcombeStaying a week in Salcombe, we tried SCC early on, and every day thereafter! The coffee is absolutely the best offering, whether takeout or drink in. They also do some amazing hot chocolate, with a Devon rum tot if you like. The food is good, although the bread slices can be thicker than most. The cream tea is wonderful. The usual coffee shop cake and pasty selections are excellent. The service is great - the owner(s) taking part in every facet too.Highly recommended.

The pasty shack
10a Fore St, SalcombeGreat little place. Cornish pasty or sausage roll, can’t go wrong. Best in town, the traditional pasty is lovely and peppery but the best is the lamb. It’s like a Moroccan tagline in pastry, couldn’t get any better. Grad a take away drink and pasty and watch the world go bye , nothing beats it . Especially when from here

Boatswains at The Kings Arms
20 Fore St, SalcombePopped in for Sunday lunch 2 weeks ago, great atmosphere, 2 fires lit and cosy, lovely friendly service from both the bar and the waitress. All three of us went for the beef, gave to say this is probably the best Sunday lunch outside a home that I have had in a good while, beef excellently cooked, roasts, gravy, lovely choice of vegetables including a cauliflower cheese to die for. Really can't recommend this place highly enough, it was mother's day as well, so busy. I will be back on my next visit

Salcombe Distilling Company - Distillery, Bar, Gin School & Retail Store
The Boathouse, 28 Island St, SalcombeA lovely product, and friendly service. But one major, and surprising disappointment, especially from what is a premium product in Salcombe. Why don't you take American Express? A sign in the gin bar says 'we appreciate your understanding'. I don't understand! You missed out on £300 of sales from me (£75 gift bottles), so you could save a 50p transaction fee!

The Bake House Salcombe
3 Fore St, SalcombeBest roast chicken roll and doughnut I can remember. Everything is super tasty and fresh. It's just a shame that we don't bring a bread knife with us on holiday, the fresh loafs look amazing. We ha e tried a fair few things and we have never been dissappointed. However the roast chicken roll and doughnuts will always be out favourites.

The Ward Room
19 Fore St, SalcombeStopped off for cold drinks and a slice of the excellent cherry pie. It was the last slice of cherry pie which caused some lovely banter with the staff who were so nice, friendly and efficient. Great views and all in all a fantastic place to stop. Highly recommend a visit.

Captain Morgan's
22 Fore St, SalcombeSo Saturday Morning just past - our Crew from Lyme Bay Boats visited Salcombe in conjunction with The Wolf Rock Boat Company. It was hacking down not the best day for sea trials on Wolf Rocks line of boats. All was rectified when we went for Tea/ Coffee and bacon butties on their infamous granary bread - Tea : - I was asked if I’d like white milk? The two beauties serving were in pink attire … white milk … ? No I’ll have pink I replied.. The two beauties just couldn’t work it out. !!! These lovely Ladies that work at Captain Morgan’s managed to quell the rain with their cheeky gags and smiley faces .. - So a must go to place Captain Morgan is… - The Cheeky Girls … I’m going there again - it’s worth the parking ticket!!! Lots of Love to you both Jamie Lyme Bay Boats
