Staying nearby and booked a meal for a Friday evening. Staff polite and friendly.
Problems arose when noone came to take drinks order, someone got sat behind us a few minutes after we arrived, and had their drinks and food taken before us.
After eventually ordering the food came and the portions were small, home made thick cut chips were all undercooked and hard, steak came without a steakknife which had to be chased up, and all in all for a +£100 meal it was poor.
Dined here as non residents one evening. Allowed to use the car park as we had a reservation. Thoroughly enjoyed all meals and desserts ordered. Beautiful place and location with lovely staff. No strict dress code, just smart casual. Price didn’t feel overinflated considering the location.
Lovely beach hotel, fantastic attentive service, clean comfortable bedrooms, wonderful views and great food,Parking: Onsite parking reserved for guests.
Went for a meal on our first night. Wish we hadn’t. Expensive, which one expects. But small portions. And mediocre quality and taste. I had the trawlermans burger, which was literally a small fillet of fish in a bap, lots of tartare sauce. No salad or garnish. Pretty tasteless, poor presentation, very unimpressive. Nice chips I guess. And £14 for 4 small scallops? Please…
Great restaurant and fabulous food . I attended this restaurant with my lovely friend for her Birthday and it was a gorgeous experience we had some amazing cocktails followed by dinner . The restaurant staff were very friendly especially Mikolaj who attended to our every needs. The atmosphere was splendid and the sea view is absolutely breathtaking. I would highly recommend Harbour Beach Club .
The hotel is really let down by its restaurant. The service and quality of food was very poor, with an unimaginative range of food on the buffet table at breakfast time. Waiters were seemingly determined to walk past our table without making eye contact. Low point was a waiter bringing us a plate of burnt toast - by that stage we’d lost the will to ask him to him have another go. Luckily the restaurant at a nearby hotel - the South Sands - was excellent.
Super friendly staff and efficient service. Spectacular views. The rooms are of a high standard and absolutely no issue with noise from other rooms. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were excellent. The complimentary gin and tonic in the rooms, is such a nice touch. A real treat of a stay
A gorgeous hotel. Great service, staff are friendly and helpful. Great location if you’re driving with good parking, across the road from a beautiful beach (no matter what Google maps tells you, take the Cliff Road to get there, it’s much less stressful). One of the best showers I’ve ever had and large towels. Very nice common areas and pool, spa etc. The rooms were very nice, good space and huge beds, and a private balcony (in a standard room). Has lifts. Very highly recommended.
Popped over from Salcombe Harbour Hotel on shuttle bus. Had a nice bottle of wine on the decking. Gorgeous hotel. Nice staff. Checked out a room and spa. You would want a sea facing room. Not sure how it would feel in busy summer months but fabulous out of season
I stayed with my mother and sister, the service was first class and the food excellent, especially the cheese soufflé! Having breakfast and enjoying the view straight out to sea was second to none, a really relaxing break in total comfort. The best part has to be Carl the hotel chauffeur, we all fell in love with him and it was fantastic being driven by him to the town and anywhere we wanted!

Nice new hotel with great situation by the beach. Friendly staff with good restaurant food. Great well equipped gym and spa. Rooms are good with big comfy beds but quite cramped. Some man size towel robes would be good for getting to and from spa/pool without feeling like you are wearing your child’s dressing gown. ?. Overall a good stay and would come again.
We had one of the best stays at this hotel. The staff (Bekah and Emily) were rly kind and attended to alol our needs and request. We enjoyed the views, shuttle service to town. The views from this hotel, south sands beach and spa facilities are the best in Salcombe. Thank you HBC for making our stay and anniversary the most memorable ❤️
Lovely hotel in an idyllic location with great views and hospitable friendly staff. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus into town and the driver even filled us in on some of the local history. Beds are comfy, the cocktails are made well and the breakfast is good. We would stay again.
Really lovely property. Clean well appointed and a great location. The food and drinks were excellent and the restaurant and bar is ideal. One slight point is that the staff running the front of desk and restaurant seem very junior and more experienced staff are probably required. How ever I’m sure this will be rectified.
We really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately they still a lot of work to do... Beauty Firstly, the view! If you book a sea view room as we did, the view is nothing short of spectacular. The spa facilities are nice, but a little small for the size of the hotel, the pool couldn't comfortably take more than 4 or 5 people (at most), not an adequate size for a 300 room hotel. The Beastly The sound proofing between our room and the adjacent rooms was virtually non-existent. This was largely due to the fact that most rooms have interconnecting doors between the separate rooms. It was so poor that you could hear pages of a newspaper being turned in the next room. At no point in the booking process did it mention that there are interconnecting doors in MOST rooms and the first we were informed of this was the morning of check-out. Again, for the price tag this is not acceptable. The food - Just not good enough for this level of hotel. We only had breakfast but christ, that was enough. The worst breakfast sandwich I have ever attempted to eat (the picture of the "sausage patty" attached should be self explanatory. Lastly the service - while most of the young staff were friendly, it had an unprofessional feel to it. The runnings of the hotel felt slightly disorganised and service overall was slow.
