We came on particularly rainy Monday (31st August), it seems to be one of only a couple of coffee shops in Salcombe we could find. Other one had a massive queue outside. So desperate for lunch and a coffee after walking around in pouring rain, we found here. Unfortunately we were turned away as it was a minute past 2, as they were closing apparently. Maybe they don't need the business?

Popped in today for coffee and brunch with family (wife plus 7 and 2yr old). Excellent staff, owner very welcoming and very quick service! Really good bacon sandwiches and delicious pain au chocolate according to the 7yr old! Very quick and satisfying stop. I imagine the BH yesterday was very very busy hence the poor review I just read. We thought it was great!

Went to Sailor V’s based on some of the reviews on trip advisor… it was a cute little cafe with a nice selection of drinks. The food was mediocre… classic cafe food, good value. After visiting a few other breakfast places in Salcombe we do think there are better places to get eggs, toast etc. I would recommend the smoothies, they are fresh and can be taken away; perfect when it’s warm outside!

Very slow service, had run out of half the food we ordered, after we had ordered. Cake was dry. Front of house staff were doing their best but can’t cope with demand. Don’t bother stopping here.

We visited on Salcombe Live music weekend and had a lovely drink and cake watching a singer and guitar duo who were very good. It’s open for breakfast and lunch so we returned again in October half term and milkshakes and smoothies were delicious. Also dog friendly. The best table is in the back corner facing down the ferry steps to the estuary but also lovely to people watch all the activity on Fore Street! A great little spot with fantastic service and lovely food. Will definitely return.

Great breakfast ? we got the table in the corner with views out to sea too - perfect. Lovely wanger, bacon, eggs and beans…what more could you want?

Lovely cafe in Salcombe. We had cream teas which were delicious and very reasonably priced. Prepare to be impressed by the quirky decor and what must be the best playlist in Devon.

We visited here twice this week. First time for a drink, second time for breakfast. Our second visit came on their busiest ever morning. Customers were queuing out of the door but the staff were calm and efficient and very friendly. Our daughters shared a smoothie (they’re very big) and also a croissant as they had run out! Granola was delicious and the coffee lovely. Would definitely return.

First visit after taking the ferry over from East Portlemouth for a pre-beach breakfast. Thankfully we had booked ahead because they were short-staffed so had limited tables. Dog friendly and nicely laid out interior. Lovely service, very friendly especially from what I assume is the owner. Good quality home-cooked food and drinks from the combined breakfast and lunch menu ("brunch"). The menu was varied without being too adventurous. An ideal location in Salcombe just up the steps from the ferry jetty. We headed off to the beach with happy tums, all set up for the day ahead.
