“Was looking for somewhere to have a quick bite to eat and found this family-friendly little café close to the seafront. Although it was very busy, the owner found me a nice place near the counter. The café is in a quaint Victorian building, but the interior decor is clean and modern, with some lovely artwork on the walls. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere in general was relaxed and casual. They do a simple menu that includes breakfasts, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and light meals as well as cream teas and some tempting cakes. Good choice of hot drinks. I ordered a fruit scone with strawberry jam and clotted cream. Service was quick, the scone was homemade and really fresh, and the pot of tea was good and hot. A satisfying refreshment break in a very welcoming environment, and at £5.50 good value for money.”
