The Smugglers Kitchen
Fore St, Beer, SeatonSet perfectly within the lovely village of Beer. Offering a good menu to choose from. The food was excellent, and the service was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble. I can highly recommend this restaurant, and making a reservation is a must as it can get busy.

The Shed Steakhouse & Grill
4 Harbour Rd, SeatonAs Walk-in business customers we were welcomed straight away and given great service by all staff members. Went for couple of mains and good selection of sides and when the food arrived we were not disappointed. Tasty, fresh and plentiful…. Chilli fries were perfect! Staff remained friendly and attentive throughout and perfectly timed additional drinks request Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and hopefully get the chance to visit again

Barrel of Beer
Fore St, Beer, SeatonFeatured in the Good Beer Guide. Out of the three pubs in the delightful fishing village of Beer this is probably the only "proper" locals' pub. Excellent value at just £10.10 for a pint of local real ale and a large glass of pinot grigio. This, compared to nearly £14 for the same elsewhere. Log fires, darts board and snooker table. Doggy friendly and engaging barman. My only disappointment was the telly on the wall. We shall return.????

Kings Arms
Fore St, SeatonDid get to the pub in time for Sunday lunch but did get some roast potatoes that were on the bar and they were amazing which made it even more annoying we didn't get our lunch. Great local pub and worth the walk from sea front.

Masons Arms, Branscombe
Masons Arms, SeatonWhat an absolutely beautiful pub complimented with palatial accommodation. I was wowed on approach as it was early evening and the stunning building was highlighted by festoon lighting and roaring fire pits. Warmest of welcomes by exceptional General Manager, David on check in followed by a stunning dinner with colleagues, the scallops were delicious!!! Excellent service by the lovely Maddie and Hannah who served our large table very attentively and with the warmest smiles. My room was so cosy and the design has been well thought out with added luxury touches that add to this memorable experience. Though it was a work event, I felt so embraced with high end service and food amongst the most gorgeous surroundings, I felt I was on a mini break! Thank you to the extended team and special thanks to David, Maddie and Hannah for looking after us so well. I will be back for some more luxury soon and with the family next time!

The Ship Inn
43 Church St, Axmouth, SeatonJust staying at Charmouth Clubsite and needed somewhere to have a nice meal . Read reviews and just popped in . Food excellent , service prompt and restaurant smart . We thought it was closed being a Monday and had a look in the Harbour Inn but didn't feel right and were heading out of area and noticed lights on in the Ship Inn so as I've said popped in . Well worth and deserved the average Google score of 4.6 which was the reason we gave it a try .

Feast Lyme Bay
12 Marine Pl, SeatonThere was little choice for somewhere to eat in Seaton at the beginning of January, Feast was open so that was the simple choice, and what a great choice it was, the pizzas were delicious. I'm a bit of a grump when it comes to paying £5 or more for fries especially when the portions are so miserly, but here the portions are very generous. We're only in Seaton for a couple of days but we're likely to eat here again.

The Terrace Arts Cafe
6 Marine Pl, SeatonWe were wet and tired, few places were actually open. (Jan 2nd) We arrived just on closing time, but were made very welcome, as long as we did not want a meal. Fair enough. Coffee was excellent as was the warm cinnamon bun with chocolate topping. Not much more I can say.

Fountain Head Inn
Fountain Head House, Branscombe, Street, SeatonUpon entering this establishment one is immediately greeted with warmth. No, not from the fire blazing in the grate (although, granted, that does give off some convective pleasance), but from the radiant bar staff who upon glimpsing a thirsty traveller at their ancient threshold immediately spring into action pouring all sorts of delicious locally brewed beverage into freshly polished glasses adorning the bar. At the time of our visit one kindly local steered us toward the correct drinks, which did not include 'Branoch' for reasons unknown. We drank and otherwise indulged and generally made merry with our kinfolk, and in the end made a barter for some more firewood for the reasonable price of a rum and coke before spilling into the cold night, loose and satisfied. Highly recommended.

Bay View Craft Shop
Fore St, Beer, Seaton2nd visit, the last was five years ago. Still great tasting food served by friendly people in a spotlessly clean establishment. If you are hungry and not on a meat free diet, do yourself a favour and have the Surf n Turf baguette. It’s delicious ?
