What an absolutely beautiful pub complimented with palatial accommodation. I was wowed on approach as it was early evening and the stunning building was highlighted by festoon lighting and roaring fire pits. Warmest of welcomes by exceptional General Manager, David on check in followed by a stunning dinner with colleagues, the scallops were delicious!!! Excellent service by the lovely Maddie and Hannah who served our large table very attentively and with the warmest smiles. My room was so cosy and the design has been well thought out with added luxury touches that add to this memorable experience. Though it was a work event, I felt so embraced with high end service and food amongst the most gorgeous surroundings, I felt I was on a mini break! Thank you to the extended team and special thanks to David, Maddie and Hannah for looking after us so well. I will be back for some more luxury soon and with the family next time!

Fabulous Sunday lunch and friendly happy staff who all make you feel welcome.A throughly great pub with lovely accommodation, we've stayed 3 times and immediately booked again when we left.Highly recommended, ran by people who genuinely care about good service and it shows.

Stunning place to stay and eat. This pub has the warm and cosy feel of a muddy wellies drinking and eating pub. The food is amazing, plenty of choice for our evening meal and a smaller, but perfect, Sunday lunch menu which would suit everyone. Didn’t feel hungry once during our stay! The staff are young and so friendly, we felt welcome whenever we spoke to anyone. The manager happily stopped to chat and made us feel at home. Clearly staff morale is important here. The secret - this is also a really lovely, luxury place to stay. We stayed in the annexed row of thatched cottages and had the comfiest bed with beautiful sheets and all the facilities you expect from a hotel. Beautifully clean and freshly decorated. Nothing to fault. Will certainly be back for more.

The Mason Arms had been my late Grandparents favourite pub. We visited recently after a long time away. It didn't disappoint, and we loved reminiscing while we were there. We are vegetarians and couldn't believe a remote pub would have so many delicious options. We were particularly impressed with the Vegan Fish and Chips, delicious! Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Lovely old pub in a lovely village a short walk from the sea full of character and with friendly and attentive staff who literally bend over backwards to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The rooms are amazing with the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on and the attention to detail is incredible. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Always come to this pub when visiting the village. Staff are great and help to create a fantastic atmosphere. Last meal that we ate her tonight was cooked by Will the chef and it was delightful. Patsy was a true professional as always. Well done guys and girls keep up the great work, see you again soon.

Fantastic! Just fabulous on all counts. Lovely part of the world. Great beach. Lovely village. Handy for trips to lots of places. The next village is called Beer and it too is lovely. Rooms, food, staff, ambiance ?! We loved it and would not hesitate to recommend it. Hope to be back again someday. Thank you Masons Arms.

Stayed for two nights in the self catering studios which were really well designed with great interiors. Huge shower room, lovely Elemis products and lots of thoughtful features. Breakfast was delivered in a hamper and the kitchenette had everything you needed. The Masons Arms has had a major refurbishment since we last visited - very impressive. Lovely gardens to enjoy the beautiful views. Food was good quality and very enjoyable - we ate in the pub two nights - the mussels and fish specials were delicious. Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return soon.

Had a lovely 3 nights at this fabulous pub. The room was beautiful, the staff were professional, welcoming and polite. The service and food were exceptional. Can’t wait to return. The area is also a bonus as lovely walks and the beach on the doorstep. Nothing to fault at all.Tonia and Gary Dean

We were a group of 10 (plus two under two) having dinner on a Friday evening and couldn't have been more impressed. The food was amazing (particularly recommend the mackerel starter, pea ravioli, banana blossom fish and chips and steaks) and staff looked after us so well - one of our group was an hour and a half late and they kept his dinner warm. Lovely, cosy, local atmosphere too. We'll be back!

Pre-booked lunch as part of a birthday day out, ( rare to get the opportunity of a day off ). The Mason's Arms was great..... lovely food and plenty of it. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Our greyhound was also impressed with the treats and attention he received.

A fantastic Sunday lunch in a very pretty pub. If you are in the area I thoroughly recommend you visit. The brisket is especially good with roast potatoes to die for and a super gravy. I shall definitely be visiting again.

Lovely pub situated in the beautiful little village of Branscombe. It is in the valley so is very hilly, the roads are narrow and can get backed up but don't let it put you off. There is plenty of seating inside and outside and parking. They do accommodation. You can either walk or drive to the beach ?.. This is set between Sidmouth and Beer. Lovely views. Staff friendly and welcoming and it is reasonably priced. The food did look and smell really nice so will try next time we go.

The accommodation is first class, pure luxury with an extremely pretty garden / terrace area. The pub is superb, fabulous beer garden in one of Englands prettiest villages and only 10 mi s walk to the beach. Food great and staff friendly and helpful. 100% recommended
