Have come in a few times to the same member of staff (Donna), very abrupt and rude , dismissive and very unpleasant. A shame as the picture house itself is lovely. This particular staff member could do with some (ALOT) of customer service training.

Had a really nice meal and time at the old picture house, Seaton. Fabulous service, food was great, especially the lemon cheesecake. Also very friendly with our dog, who loved the treats. Highly recommended.

Rooms: I can not comment on the rooms because I neither saw them or stayed in any of the roomsWe have only used the bar & restaurantNearby activities: The beach, the tram collection, tram rides & much moreWalkability: It is within easy walking distance to the sea front, the trams, the town, restaurants, bars & public transportFood & drinks: We had our 2023 Christmas Lunch here & the food was delicious, the bar has a fantastic array of different beers & spirits, as well as non alcoholic drinks, ooh & the cocktails wonderful. The owners & staff are friendly, presentable & nothing is too much trouble.If you wish to eat in the restaurant, as opposed to the bistro, you have to go upstairs. The stairs aren’t to steep, they are wide & shallow. I normally find stairs hard to climb, but these were easy.Dogs are allowed downstairs only.Noteworthy details: It is in a renovated cinema & is tastefully decorated throughout, with bygone memories of the old picture house, with posters & other memorabilia. Dogs are allowed downstairs
I'm a DJ and can hands down say the Picture house is by far one of my most favourite venue to work with. Tim, Donna and the team really do run a tight ship. The food quality is fantastic, drinks range is large, the venue is always spotlessly clean and the interior is stunning and very well thought out. Thinking of holding your event here, DO IT!
