Not much open for food in Seaton mid December on a Sunday but we'd eaten in here before, and enjoyed it, so thought we'd try again. All table service, which was friendly and efficient. Nice choice of real ales and cider and a good menu. We both opted for the beef burger and added bacon and cheese. It came with lovely chunky chips and a salsa and was well cooked, hot and delicious. Would definitely recommend and eat there again when in Seaton.

The food was good but disappointed in the service. Seems at the moment having many issues with the pub but we were given a dirty cup in which did get changed. Seemed a little slow service side and was an ok atmosphere. Was ok value for money.

Exposed beams (mind your head) in an old tavern atmosphere. Friendly service from staff and food choices from vegan through vegetarian to meat dishes. Great place to eat and relax with friends and family.

Visited here whilst staying at Seaton, not many places available to eat at, but we loved the food here so much we visited both nights of our stay. Proper home cooked food, friendly staff & a nice place. Recommend :)

We were looking for a family friendly pub for an early evening dinner. This place was awesome. Kid friendly and fresh, well cooked pub grub. My daughter had a freshly cooked dinner and the staff were accommodating for children. Great selection of draft beers and a calm atmosphere.

Just had delicious cod and chips, generous portions, freshly cooked and good service. Nice big dog friendly pub with plenty of seating.

We had a day out near Seaton and stopped here for tea with the 6 year old and dog. Made to feel very welcome and service was friendly and quick. My partner had Lambshank, I had hake fillet and the nipper had sausage, chips and beans. Myself and partner had raspberry and chocolate cheesecake and little one had strawberry, chocolate and vanilla ice-cream. We had a pint of cider, pint of lemonade and pint of lime and soda - £75 including tip. I would definitely recommend if you want to drop in to a dog pub friendly pub for a great menu and better than pub grub and lovely staff. It looks like they might be doing some work on the outside and the inside could do with a little modernising, but it was definitely worth the stop.

Stopped over at Seaton on Monday night and decided to give this place a go. Initial impression was good. The place was clean and the staff friendly. My husband decided to have the pork, I had the hake, and my daughter had the spaghetti bolognaise. My husband said the pork was just “ok” and fairly tasteless, which isn’t what you expect for nearly £20 a plate. My daughters serving of spaghetti bolognaise was minuscule and had practically no meat on it. She couldn’t finish it because she said it didn’t taste nice. My hake was cold, slimy and drenched in pepper. The dauphinois and cauliflower cheese (both things I love) had an odd taste, the sauce was watery. Generally the whole thing reminded me of those microwave bags containing fish and parcels sauce and left me with a horrible taste that I’ve been trying in vain to get rid of all evening. Everything served looked very nice but it didn’t have the taste or fineness to back up the price tag. Would not eat here again.

"Just had an incredible experience at The Malt House ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The atmosphere was inviting, the staff was friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish we had was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The pub offers a wide range of options to cater to everyone's tastes. Highly recommend visiting and indulging in their mouthwatering menu. Cheers to a memorable dining experience! And such friendly and helpful staff!

The attitude of the waiting staff is appalling. My father had a glass of wine spilt over him by the waiter. Fair enough, accidents happen and the waiter was apologetic. However when we received the bill, my father asked for a discount. He was told they do not do discounts, even though he had sat there half the evening with wet jeans. He eventually got one drink taken off the bill, with a total bill exceeding £115. The attitude of the waiter was disgusting, acting very smug. Refusing to provide his name. I went to take a photo of him for evidence as to who we were served by. His reaction was to grab my arm, which then upset my daughter. Totally disgusting. We eventually got his name, Nathan. Place to be avoided.

Stopped over the night on a Thursday.. had a walk round seaton and stumbled across this pub. Looked good so popped in for a drink. Got served fine but told you can sit anywhere without cutlery ?‍♀️. Firstly the staff pointed to where the toilets were when I asked…. Toilets stunk as the sanitary bins where over flowing which is not what you want to smell while eating.. Drank up and took glasses to bar and said thank you to just be ignored.. RUDE RUDE RUDE

Really great staff, pub looks like it's having a bit of an upgrade but doesn't interfere with anything. Food was very good, well cooked and presented. Would recommend. Thanks for good evening!
