Lovely coffee/cakes, very clean cafe. Very good value.There is a sign on entering advising customers to be ‘kind and patient’ with staff but this philosophy does not seem to extend to the manageress. There were quite a few young members of staff and the manageress seemed very impatient and critical of them which was overheard by customers, Spoilt the visit for us somewhat.

Called in for lunch, fairly busy, friendly staff, comfortable and modern inside, lots of regulars and locals eating there, large menu, we ate crab and bacon sandwiches, v tasty and good sized portions, reasonably priced. Would revisit.

We wanted a light lunch for which the Becketts was ideal, with their good menu. Pleasant and efficient staff and quick service. Good value and I shall certainly return on my next visit to Sidmouth.

Having arrived at lunchtime we were in search of something to eat but not a full blown meal. On entering we were advised there were no tables available at if we wanted one it would be at least 20 minutes. Big shout out to Helen who said she would take my mobile number and give me a call when a table became available, which she duly did. I have never come across the type of service before but was very impressed. I went for the crab sandwich and my wife the home made soup, both were thoroughly enjoyable and set us up nicely for the remainder of the afternoon. Becketts is a clean and well laid out coffee shop that from what we could see was very popular with a range of dishes that appear to have care taken over them from what we could see when delivered to others who were eating. I would definitely recommend a visit.
